Ralph Gahagan "Coach"

Hello Everyone,
I want to update you all on our progress in Liberia on the new school project.
First, I am excited to tell you that Hawa has become a US citizen. This is a wonderful accomplishment and will enable her to travel to Liberia for longer periods of time. She is very excited to return to her community this year and she hopes to make a trip to Spring Creek before she travels back to Africa.
We continue to meet every other week with the Liberian community via zoom to help move this project forward.
This week we are very excited to send garden seeds over via a friend of Hawa's who is traveling to Liberia. The community will plant the first garden in our schoolyard to help determine which varieties grow best there.

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to Coach Ralph Gahagan. He transitioned into death peacefully on Christmas eve. Although we mourn his passing, we celebrate his reunion with his beloved wife, Jeanne.

In lieu of flowers, we are setting up the Ralph Gahagan Legacy Project to help create a school and agricultural teaching center in Monrovia, Liberia. Ralph has been instrumental in helping with this project in the past and we feel this will truly honor his love of educating youth. Ralph is in hospice care now and we are all praying for a peaceful, comfortable transition. Per his wishes, he is going home tomorrow, accompanied by a dear friend and his family. He will be in his apartment in Virginia Beach with round the clock care. These are his wishes and we are honoring them. We thank you so much for your continued prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
