Hey Delilah’s Dogs Followers!! 👋🏽 🌭

We have been MIA for a bit as life has been pretty hectic! But, this upcoming Monday will be Delilah’s last day of 4th grade! The kids have came up with a simple menu and schedule that they feel they can commit to as we all got a taste of how challenging and hectic last season was. She is short but not a short order cook. 😂

We will be keeping the menu simple. Just our typical Nathan’s and Jordan’s red dogs with condiments and raw onions, chips, drinks and maybe some candy! If there’s enough of a request, we will add sausage as well!

Keep an eye out for us! Our schedule will be looking like a day or 2 at the beach and most likely a weekly Friday evening scheduled corn hole match!

Now on to inspections and licenses this upcoming week! We will keep you all posted!

What do you do when you own a hot dog cart during the holidays? You give the gift of giving!!

Our intentions were to brighten others day, that truly needed it while showing the kids the meaning of giving for the sake of giving.

Our first stop was the homeless shelter, where we donated a couple of bags of clothes.

Then we headed to the women’s shelter, where we donated over 100 hotdogs, sausages, buns, soda, water, chips, crackers, and women’s clothes. We had our hot dog cart ready, just in case they didn’t have a kitchen, so we could serve them if needed.

All in all, this has been the BEST Christmas with the kids, even though we have really busy lives, it showed them what the holiday season truly means. I can say we all agreed that this Christmas is one for the books! Merry Christmas! 🎄🌭 🎁 🌭 🎄

This weekend was our last scheduled hotdogging event for the season. (Unless someone reaches out and we are able to squeeze them into our busy schedules.)

Thanks again John for inviting us to hang out with the Brittany Dog Club, even though you and your wife were not able to make it. You guys have been in our thoughts and prayers.

Getting there, we did not know what to expect or what a Brittany was. Throughout the weekend, we learned ALOT about the Brittany breed and what’s entailed in training them. They are such a smart, energetic and lovely breed! It was a pleasure meeting new hot dog friends and being able to walk with the judges through the course as well!

What’s work without a little play. We ALWAYS add in some sort of fun with the work! Delilah and I was hotdogging this weekend since Kobe was helping his dad install, sand & finish a 2500 sq. Ft. floor. So we took it upon ourselves to hit up North Conway since we were in Fryeburg! Check out the few fun pics! Didn’t take a lot but enough.

We can’t believe that we are done with the season! If anyone’s wondering, hotdogging isn’t as easy as it looks. There’s been many times where I questioned why am I doing this, it’s not even worth it… But it is worth it! Teaching the kids and helping them with entrepreneurship was the major factor but we were also getting in more family time with them. They also learned about other groups/clubs, and got to meet new people from all over the US. We hope that everything they have learned this season and hopefully next season (if they still want to hotdog), has and will help them along their way in life… until next time hotdog friends! It’s been real, it’s been fun. It’s been real fun! 🙌🏼 😅 😉

I got 6th place in the skillet toss since I was focused on my footwork. Haha
Delilah was bummed that we accidentally missed the kids skillet toss since we got a little hotdog rush.

Kobe’s friend and I joined the adults frozen t-shirt contest last minute.. I ended up winning! They said I most likely beat the record for the fastest time! Delilah tried her best in it and almost had it. This contest is definitely not easy!

Seen lots of previous hotdog friends and familiar faces and we hope to see more on this last day!
Delilah’s signed up for the pig scramble in a couple of hours! See you back on here at 11 as I plan on going live for that event.

We didn’t know that you had to sign up in advance for their contests until I read the Acton Fair book this evening.
Luckily they were still opened for us to sign her up! Oh, also the ladies in the office and Delilah persuaded me to sign up for the skillet throwing contest. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Yesterday’s weather was soo hot but we made it through! Today’s about 5 degrees cooler and such a difference.
Nick showed up with another tent and chairs for us and truthfully, we can’t complain!
Kids are helping out while enjoying themselves, meeting new people and icing on the cake is that we are all together! 😁
So stop on by today, tomorrow or Sunday. Soo much to see and do, you’ll have a blast! You won’t regret it!

Delilah walked over to me and told me the slushee lady doesn’t take cards. A light bulb popped in her head and she walked away with our menu. She came back with a smile and a slushee! I don’t know what she said to her but I’m pretty sure there was some bartering involved. This girl though! Haha

We have been quiet for a bit since we took some well needed time off from the cart. That doesnt mean we are done for the season though.. We have our next 3 weekends booked, on top of our daily work and sports schedules! We can’t wait to update you all! ☺️

I had a meeting with the bank over a month ago and icing on the cake was finding out about a youth explorers savings account, which I told Delilah about. She was ecstatic to hear about this program, as it’s not like the bank account we had for her previously. She wanted in! Even with our busy schedules, she was asking a few times a week if we could head to bank to open up an account. We finally made it in today! I’m smiling while I type this, as I can visualize this conversation. Barbara and Delilah are the ones that opened this account! I had nothing to do with it, besides driving her there and signing a document. Lol I might be gloating but I’m sure you all would as well! My 9 year-old being this independent!! When did this happen! 🥺

Delilah‘s day off from gymnastics and she wanted to try out slinging dogs at the beach. So here we are at Fortunes Rocks down at Biddeford Pool! What a beautiful day for it! Come say hi! 👋

We already sold all besides 2.
All we have left is a medium pull-over and a size small zip-up.

Delilah’s sweatshirts came in! She has the pull-over style and also the zip-up style sweatshirts! You might not want to believe it, but fall IS right around the corner too. We don’t think they will last long! Reach out ASAP if interested.

We were out of sync in the beginning as this was our first evening outing. The heat didn’t help us much either. With the little bickering the kids had towards each other and Kobe’s fresh teenage mouth, we all got through it! We were soo glad to have Nick join us a couple of hours in.

The kids efforts shows through and through even with the challenges in place and we all were able to put out some yummy foods for all to enjoy! We sold out of the macaroni and cheese, pulled pork and sausage. BLT dogs were a big hit as well!

Who would’ve thought that running a hotdog cart would be no easy feat. To give you all an idea of what they are helping out with…From planning, inventory, prepping, loading, unloading, set up, customer service, cooking, money transactions, breaking down, loading again, unloading at home, to cleaning up, figuring out inventory for profit and loss, counting the money. Pretty sure I’m missing a step or two.

We can’t say enough on how proud we are of these two for taking on this entrepreneurship and not giving up. They are learning some very important life lessons and we hope that it will stick with them as they grow up. Until next time all.

All it took was my phone, a printer, fabric transfer papers, material and VOILA! Her own apparel line! (She calls it merch, lol.)

Now she’s talking about selling it for $13! (Where did she get that number?🤔)If she’s thinking about making them to sell, then she will be having to buy the material and making them herself. 😉 I have a feeling that’s not how it’s going to end up though. But it’s ok, I’m the one that told her, “the sky’s the limit.” And it is!
