It was pomp and celebration at Primary School, Mbak Itam 3 and Presbyterian primary School, Afaha Itam, all in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State as UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation paid a visit to pupils of the school to gift them educational materials for the new term.
Receiving the team, the Head Teacher of Primary School, Mbak Itam 3, Madam Nse William Ita thanked the UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation for choosing the school for their kind gesture as well as putting smiles on the faces of the pupils.
She was full of praises for the foundation and called on other organizations to follow the example of UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation.
The pupils who couldn’t hide their joy expressed gratitude to the foundation for coming to their school to share the items.

When the team arrived Presbyterian Primary School, Afaha Itam, the atmosphere became charged as the foundation doled out study kits to pupils of the school.
Excitement was seen in the faces of the pupils who were glad to be beneficiaries of the gesture from UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation.
Appreciating the team for the visit, the Head Teacher of the school Mrs. Victoria Richard Nyong thanked the foundation for its kindness to her pupils and prayed the Lord to bless the foundation, its principal and members of the team.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of school bags to outstanding pupils who excelled in the previous academic year and came out as best performing pupils in their classes.
The visit saw the team from UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation enlightening the pupils of the schools on the need to shun cultism. The team comprised of Deaconess Stella Frances, Pastor Ab Isong, Mrs Rose Philip, Michael Ubong, Ubong Edet, Idongesit Esidore and Godwin Iwat.
It is noteworthy to state that UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to help the cause of humanity. In February 2022, the foundation had its first outing when it shared items for sanitary hygiene to young secondary school girls and paid term school fees for the best 3students of the school.
On August 23, the foundation marked her Principal’s birthday with a visit to Anua Hospital, where the hospital bills of two women in the labour ward who put to birth that day was offset. In her third outing in one year, the foundation has shared study kits to pupils of selected public schools in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Parents and female children have been called upon to take the menstrual hygiene of the girl child serious in other to help them develop and grow in good health.
The call was made recently by the progenitor of the UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation (UPHF) Mrs Utibe Pius, while addressing students of Unity Technical and Science Academy,Nkim/ Mbak Itam 3, in Itu Local Government area of Akwa Ibom State.
According to Mrs Pius, menstrual hygiene is something every woman should take serious especially the adolescent girl. This she said is important because at this stage, the adolescent girl must get the act of menstrual hygiene right.
She called on parents, teachers and pupils alike to look at the core issues that affect the girl child development and join hands together to battle it.
Speaking about her foundation, Mrs. Pius said the UtyPius Humanitarian Foundation is a Not-for-profit, Non-Governmental Organization which focuses on aiding the growth and development of the vulnerable groups in our society.
She said the foundation was engaging on her first launch and has chosen Unity Technical and Science Academy, Nkim/Mbak Itam 3 because they share the same root.
The music icon said her foundation will help sensitize people on vital issues that affect their development, empower people to overcome poverty as well as equip them with skills to help them overcome their vulnerabilities.
Welcoming the team to the school, the Principal, Mr. Aloysius Etim Akpan urged the students to pay rapt attention to the team assuring them that the visit was for their benefit.
Hinting that the school has been in the forefront of moulding people for academic excellence, he thanked the foundation for considering their school for the visit.
Speaking earlier, the Project Development Coordinator of the Foundation, Mr. Godwin Iwat hinted that UtyPius Foundation has as its core value, to engage in advocacy for the improvement of lives for the less privileged in society; to advance the cause of the vulnerable in the society especially the girl child and; to equip and empower the girl child with skills necessary for self-development.
He said the day’s outing was to sensitize pupils of the school about menstrual health.
Highlight of the visit was presentation of sanitary pads, tissue papers and both bathing and washing soaps to the students. Mrs. Pius also undertook to pay one term school fees of the three most outstanding students of the school namely: Praise Prince Akpan, Promise Michael Akpan and Abasiodiong Udeme Charles.
The foundation also paid a visit to women of Mbak Itam3 Community where it share food items and sanitary wares to the women.
In the team were the Founder of the foundation, Mrs. Utibe Pius, Pastor Austin Mike, Pastor AB Isong, Pastor Stella Daniel, Mrs. Rose Philip, Michael Ubong, Michael Nsikak, Idongesit Ituen, Godwin Iwat and Nsikak Johnson.
