You may remember this old abandoned house I done a Photoshoot in a while ago. Little did I know it has a dark past.

In 1931 a family went for a walk around the bluebell forest with their 9 year old daughter named Mary Hastings. A man called Micheal McCutcheon lived in this house and was recently released from a mental hospital. The 9 year old girl was lured into this house by Micheal.

Micheal dismembered Mary Hastings with a hatchet in this house. Mary’s remains was found later by her parents with the bluebells in her hand. Micheal was never found.

Stumbled across an old abandoned cabin deep in the woods with an Ouija board in the last room at the bottom of the dark corridor few days ago.
Excellent scene for a dark, horror themed photoshoot.

Photos below were taken at Friends Meeting house, Bessbrook and its adjoining cemetery.

The Society of Friends (Quakers) are a branch of the Christian Church which has been active in Ireland since 1654. Secluded in the Derrymore forest, it has a cemetery behind it with over 400 people buried there. Only 50 or so in marked graves, many being children in the late 1800's.

The size and inscriptions on the headstones are restricted so that there is no display of wealth.
