Celebrating a life of love and service

As Women's month ends, one thing we are grateful for accomplishing is remembering mum's legacy.

In 2022 restarted the Victoria Adaji Foundation in hour of my late mum who was a philanthropist and humanitarian.

During that year we donated food and essential items to women in need and also set up a funding page raising money for future projects

Sadly 2023 was a tough year as we battled and finally lost Dad too. So we took a pause

2024 is the 10th anniversary anniversary of mum gaining her heavingly wings so we sort to do something to commemurate this

As a nurse and midwife she helped countless people and made a difference to many lives and families.

Our desire is to carry on with her legacy.

According to the World Health Organisation WHO 2023 report

"Women in the African Region are more likely to die from communicable diseases (e.g. HIV, tuberculosis and malaria), maternal and perinatal conditions, and nutritional deficiencies, than women in other regions. Globally, about 468 million women aged 15–49 years (30% of all women) are thought to be anaemic, at least half because of iron deficiency and most of these anaemic women live in Africa (48–57%)"

Hence we used resources donated to revamp a women's pregnancy health center in her honour.

We are grateful to have done this during women's month too.

Our desire is to continue to use her legacy as a catalyst to make a difference

Thank you to those who previously supported us.

Please look out for our next fund raising effort to carry on making a difference.

Celebrating 10 years since mum's ascension into glory

Last week I listened to Emma Stone's Bafta winning speech thanking her mum for the support, encouragement and life itself.

It stung, I wish I have the same opportunity,

When mum walks into a place or you walk into a place where she is, the next thing you will see her get up open her arms ready for a hug.

So apt that she left this world in the month of love

She exuded love and her lifestyle was that of giving.

She never backed down from challenges

When life gets tough I would hear voice saying to me:

" It is with perseverance that you accomplish things"

When I get impatient I would hear her voice say :

"With patience even a stone would eventually get cooked".

The best of it all is not just her words but her example, her struggles, mistakes, courage to go courageously after big things.

Her sacrifices to help us aim for bigger and fulfil our dreams, including Dad, who has now joined her in glory.

Her courage to forgive things that look impossible to forgive, and still show love to those who never mean't her well.

The quality of my life is richer because of it all.

Yes! that is why I celebrate rather than mourn

Although it's being hard, we have all survived because of mum's legacy, and her essence still surrounds us with love.

Please join me in raising a cheer to my mum sitted now in heavenly places for real, where all sorrow and pain have now ceased.

Now no longer confined to her earthly vessel, she can watch over us in spirit and give us encouragement to live well
Love you mum and thank you. 💖💖💖💖

Celebrating the life of mum.
Today We remember you

You taught us how to live a purposeful life

How to give unconditional love

We have learnt too that we need to put on our own mask first so we can breathe, then we can help others do the same.

We have taken on your words to be kind, adventurous, ambitious and not settle for less than we desire and deserve.

The foundations you left behind were solid and because of it, we have become better people.

Continue to rest and sing in the bossom of Jesus until we meet again rejoicing.

Love you mum.
