The Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says he**in use is growing at an alarming rate. They say overdoses nearly doubled from 2011 and 2013. The report goes on to say he**in use is up among men and women, most age groups and all income levels. The CDC says the strongest risk factor for he**in addiction is prescription pain pill use.

This forum will provide opportunity for counselors to discuss ethical issues with peers and review ethical issues using interactive case studies and scenarios relative to real-life situations using ethical dilemmas and vignettes.
Learning Objectives:
· Development of a ethical decision-making model to address confusing ethical dilemmas presented by individual, couple, and family groups in session.
· Identification of various types of ethical dilemmas that arise in counseling sessions and relationships.
· Effective strategies for obtaining supervision/consultation in order to assess choices as viable ethical-decision making processes.
