WE ARE RE-HOMING UNWANTED COATS FOR THOSE IN NEED
We are collecting and re-homing good condition warm winter garments. Coats needs to be clean with all zips and buttons complete and working. So if you have a warm coat, waterproof, gilet or fleece for adults or children please drop it off either at our Indoor Market stall or Holy Trinity Stevenage church in the Old Town each day between 10-4.
We'll sort them and send them to local charities that work with those in need this winter.

Lots of folks struggle with mental health issues... And if you are a carer for someone who is mentally very poorly... It can be totally, totally exhausting... And none more so than for a parent caring for a young teenager who is fixed on harming themselves. Having to hide knives, razor blades, needles... Functioning on high alert 24/7... Feeling let down by CAMHS (Child Adolescent Mental Health Services) and other professionals who give advice but who have very limited resources for direct long-term help... Feeling isolated... Who could believe that the happy baby you once held in your arms... You are now holding in a mini-psychiatric unit in your own home... If it helps... Imagine... Sitting here... in the little porch of Throcking Church. Give yourself a few minutes of self-care. Hide away from the world for a bit... Step back from the parent/caring role... You are doing your best... Brave You. And if it helps... You can come back to this little space anytime you want to...

How did your MP vote on Gaza ceasefire amendment? Full results of Commons showdown - MPs have rejected a demand for an end to the fighting in Gaza, despite Keir Starmer suffering the biggest rebellion of his leadership. - Eight shadow ministers, including Jess Phillips, quit the Labour frontbench to back an SNP amendment telling ministers to call for an "immediate ceasefire."

Tents being removed in Camden. Inside are clothes and sleeping bags. The Home Secretary Suella Braverman has described homelessness as a ‘lifestyle choice’. Likewise The woman responsible for the most hateful speech ever heard from any government, will call peace protesters a ‘hate march’ this weekend. This is the last resort of a dying government.. And it’s a call for a culture war. That’s all they have left. The undermining of the police has started, the demonising and supposed criminality of poverty has started, and anything will do to stop we the people focusing on this government’s disastrous record on the NHS, human excrement in our waters, rampant poverty and soaring prices.
She’s aching for trouble this weekend and I implore everyone not to buy into this evil woman’s rhetoric and stay peaceful. Stand together as a community and ghouls like this woman will never win.
