When I created the Minimalism + Motherhood community, I made a promise to not only share the good…but to also share the messy parts of life so that other Moms would know they weren’t alone.
So here it is. I’m not okay.
Our life has been unravelling for two years and I am holding it all together with scotch tape….barely.
Solo motherhood is hard on a good day. Toss in two years of a pandemic, homeschooling while I work from home, isolation from family + friends, the threat of war and a cost of living that is increasing by the minute…and, well, it’s almost unsurvivable.
Yet here we are, SURVIVING. 🙌🏽
So, while I’m struggling and feeling like I’m failing my son, almost daily…I remind myself that none of this defines who I am.
I am a still a good mom…
• when the bills are paid late.
• when we have to skip a day (or a whole week) of homeschool.
• when my endometriosis flares and I don’t have the strength to do anything other than the bare minimum.
• when the dishes are piling up and I have to wash the same load of laundry for the third time.
• *insert your story here*
I love my child with every cell of my being. I have spent the last 25 months channeling everything I’ve got into providing, keeping him healthy + safe and helping to heal the deep trauma we’ve both been through. Even with all of the chaos, uncertainty and struggle…I am still a good mom…and so are you! 💛
I see you. I am you.

I am... Trying to take things day by day
I like planning and dreaming ahead, but that's been really hard to do right now. Tbh, I feel like I'm in a season of waiting for a lot of things, and it's been getting harder and harder to be present.
And that's it! I have no grand revelation about it at all :) It's just where I'm at: a bit anxious, a lot impatient, and trying to take it day by day. ❤️
Thanks for .mimmo.project & for including me in this self love challenge - sometimes self love is just being honest about where you're at.

I am STRONG⚡️
Being strong isn't just about lifting heavy. It's about choosing to take steps towards your goals, no matter how scary that step may be.
For me, strength starts from within. Remind yourself of the courage, beauty, and power that you hold. You are good enough, and you were always good enough.
Realize your strength, inside and out. ♥️
A big thank you to .Mimmo.project for allowing me to be a part of this empowering campaign!

Thank you to Sarah from .mimmo.project for asking Shauna and I to be a part of this project. Finding time to affirm who we are in times that are so uncertain and volatile isn’t easy. But in doing so, we can hopefully remember who we are and what’s important.
Shauna shares that spring is a special time for her. She feels grounded when working in her garden and taking long walks in the forest daily. She has always found great connection to earth and her natural surroundings.
Shauna is proud of her daughters and other young adults in her life that are blossoming into strong, courageous people.
Being a part of Chorus team and the future growth of the business. ☀️✨
