Today York County celebrated their collaboration with Duke Energy by cutting the ribbon for Allison Creek Park. It’s another shining asset on Lake Wylie.

I enjoyed attending Senator Michael Johnson’s event Wednesday night in Fort Mill. I appreciate the work Sen Johnson is doing for the people of York and Lancaster Counties, and the entire state of South Carolina.

I’ve supported youth sports for 40 years. Thankful I am able to continue to do so.

Often in life we have the opportunity to see first hand the amazing work our not for profits do in York County. What I find interesting is hearing the stories of “how” this all came to fruition. God opens and closes doors so we can land where He needs us to be. Matt Harper of Camp Canaan and his staff are living that journey and YC is a better place to live as a result. I’m pleased to offer them financial support on behalf of York County.

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. In 2017, a Founding Board of 12 laid out the mission, which was followed by a grass roots fundraising effort to purchase & renovate a building to house 17 agencies that support those less fortunate. We are blessed to have Pathways in YC. Thank you all for making a significant difference in the lives of many.

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. This year I'm honored to support the Catawba Area Coalition for the Homeless. It's community leaders like Carol Harvey that dedicate their lives to unselfishly making a difference in York County. To Carol and all of the CASH leadership, thank you

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. This year I'm honored to support the mission of Safe Passage. As a prior Board Member, I've seen first hand the passionate work of Adrienne Woods, the Board, and her dedicated staff. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of many that end up in unfortunate personal situations. Your work will continue to have a lasting impact for those affected and their children.

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. This year I'm honored to support Family Promise. Your mission compliments others who work tirelessly for families that find themselves on their heels, and of need of a safety net. I'd like to thank the Board, staff, and volunteers for all they continue to do in making a difference in York County.

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. This year I'm honored to support Christians to Feed The Hungry. Often we meet people like Ronal King and his volunteers who invest countless hours day and night to feed the homeless, and help law enforcement with those troubled with mental illness. NY lost a legacy maker and tireless servant leader when he came to York County in 1969. Since then he has dedicated everyday to the diverse needs of our homeless community without any thought of his own needs. Ronal King is one of God's warriors and I'm personally honored to be his friend and financial supporter.

Annually York County Council members are allocated monies to support the mission of nonprofits of York County. This year I'm honored to support Bethel Men's Shelter. Emily, Richard, and their many volunteers are warriors for their cause. It's interesting how Church's choose their mission, and York County is so fortunate to have Bethel United Methodist Church in our community doing amazing work for men who have fallen on hard times. To you and all of your volunteers and financial supporters, thank you.

As a Co-Owner and Managing Partner of Our Three Sons Broadcasting, Manning makes a difference in our lives. Happy 75th Birthday, Manning! Cheers to you and many more years to come! Watts and Nickie
