I write to sincerely appreciate my teeming supporters, friends, family, and well wishers on their overwhelming support during the just concluded house of assembly primaries of our great party, the PDP.

We have all given our best, and so we are all victors, regardless of the outcome.

I also congratulate my brother, Hon. Blessed Ona who clinched the party's ticket. I believe in God's word when it says that a man can receive nothing, except it be given to him by God. God has indeed deemed it fit that Blessed represents us now, and I promise to support him with no grudges.

The years ahead hold better promises for us, and we will not hesitate to take our chances when they present themselves.

The goal is for a better Igede land, and we must all put our hands on deck to achieve it.

They are surely Rays of Hope at the end of the tunnel.

Top of the day to you the great people of Oju 1 State Constituency. The destiny of our dear land once again hangs on a thread.

We once again have a choice to make between a warm handshake with posterity, and a bastardization of same.

Ochi Billy Amara has proved through his antecedents that he represents the yearnings of a new Oju 1 where development, peace and unity will thrive.

The delegates should be reminded that they are delegated to represent our common interests, and as such, MUST NOT BETRAY OUR TRUST.

What history are we going to write?

THE MAN, OCHI BILLY AMARA AND
THE ESSENCE OF HIS DESIRE TO REPRESENT THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OJU 1 AT THE BSHOA in 2023.

Like a lantern placed on the mountain top that gives light, even to the darkest valleys, Ochi Billy Amara is an illuminating light that brightens the darkest of days.

Born to the amiable family of a man with nearly impeccable character, a community development expert, and a medical czar, Doctor David Amara of Ibilla-Ilache and Madam Hannah Amara nee Ekirigwe of Ibilla-Alukpo on the 30th of June, 1983, Billy started his primary education at the College of Education Demonstration Nursery and Primary School, Oju LGA in 1989. Upon his graduation in 1995, he proceeded to St. Francis college Otukpo, between 1995 and 1999, and then to Wesley high school, Otukpo in 1999 from where he graduated, earning his SSCE Certificates in 2002.

His insatiable quest for knowledge as a tool for societal emancipation gave him the needed push to proceed for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the prestigious Benue State University in 2002 from where he obtained a B.sc, in Business Administration in 2006.

Ochi is not the man to settle for less. This was why in furtherance of knowledge acquisition, he went back to secure admission in 2012 and pursued a Masters degree in Public Administration at the Benue State University, a feat he achieved in 2015.

Haven equipped himself both in character and in learning as a professional business and public administrator, he took the first step into what could be described as an illustrious career when, upon graduation from the university, he was posted to Refuge Island Media Ltd, a multinational media firm in Abuja as an administrative officer.

His diligence caught the eyes of the National Assembly, Abuja who offered him a job as a Personal assistant to the House of Representatives' Chairman, House Committee on Legislative Compliance from 2009 to 2011.

The bureaucratic nature of the Nigerian public administration was a constant clog on the wheels of progress for Ochi. He is a man built with numerous potentials, and for these potentials to be properly utilized, he needed a stroll away from public administration.

That walk of hope took him to the Nigerian oil sector where he has since built for himself an intimidating dossier and a great career in the last decade.

He had to, first of all, bring himself to be thought the rudiments of the oil and gas energy sector. Thus, he undertook on-the-job engineering training at Japeils Energy Ltd, Port-Harcourt in 2016.

That training qualified him for and secured him a position as a Rotating Equipment Technician, Japeils Energy, Egbaoma gas processing plant, Umutu, Delta state from 2017 until 2019 when his dedication to duty, expertise, and Professionalism further earned him a promotion as the Rotating Equipment Supervisor in the same company from 2019 to 2020.

He has further been given a role as the Rotating Equipment supervisor, SPEC EPCC. PNG gas processing plant, Delta state, from 2020 to Jan 2022.

He is currently a consultant with oil and gas engineering services, Godico engineering consults Ltd. Abuja.

He is well read, has attended a plethora of workshops, seminars and professional courses. He is married to Agnes Amara and that marriage has produced two lovely kids. He is a devout Christian, and his hobbies include; reaching out, researching, and introspection.

Still at the young age of 38, Billy has already impacted his immediate society in so many ways. As a philanthropist, he is credited with sponsoring numerous children of Igede extraction in schools out of his meager resources. He donates generously towards societal development projects and delights in putting smiles on the faces of the depressed through meeting the individual needs of friends, associates, and even people who he never knew but met at the point of their needs; the reason he is nicknamed "MAYOR"

No wonder, anywhere his consultations team went, that name was chanted like a champion. Indeed, Ochi is the MAYOR of the county, and his towering achievements have gradually earned him the title of a legendary emancipator of the people, even at his age.

Over the years, he has accumulated a wide spectrum of experience both in the public and private sector, and also in his service to humanity.

As a grassroots man, he is the bridge that links the young and the aged. He understands firsthand, the developmental challenges facing the good people of Oju 1 State Constituency at the moment, and has all it takes to fix them if given the mandate.

He has therefore offered himself for service, to represent them at the Benue State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Based on his antecedents, I have no iota of doubt in my mind that if voted, Ochi will completely turn the fortunes of his people around in terms of Quality and purposeful legislation, Strategic partnership for economic development, Enhanced quality education and skills acquisition, Massive human capital development and people-oriented programs, and unbiased, balanced and fair representation amongst many other developmental projects.

He humbly seeks the sincere support of everyone as we embark on this journey to restore the soul of Oju 1 from falling into the abyss of oblivion.

With Ochi Billy Amara, there are surely Rays of Hope, and a light at the end of the tunnel.

He says that this season reminds us of the biggest sacrifice ever made for the salvation of mankind, and urges everyone to reflect on the undiluted love of God as a standard to follow if we must stay in peace together as brothers and sisters.

He assures that whatever is a challenge in our lives has been taken to the cross already which means that better days are here.

He promises to do his very best in transforming Oju 1 State Constituency if given the mandate to represent them at the state assembly.
