I haven't done one of these in a bit so this one has four pieces I painted this year plus four from the past few years.

This year I participated in ten craft shows and showed my original paintings in four different places! Now I am looking forward to a little break and to get started working on some new pieces!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Marika Chew is a watercolor artist whose work features intricately patterned animals and cheerful collections. Her paintings include everything from large mammals, to colorful birds and insects! She is also working on an ongoing New York State Series. Her paintings are inspired by world textiles, folk art, Art Nouveau and floral motifs. Her watercolors are the result of many layers of paint using a number of very tiny brushes. Marika will have greeting cards, signed art prints and original paintings for sale - including some new animals and collections to share with you!

My New York State Apple prints have been popular lately! These are available in three different sizes: 9" x 12" (pictured here) 11" x 14" or matted. They work as set with my other New York collections: leaves and bird feathers!

The finished Goose commission!!

Painting white(or black) animals is always a fun challenge in order to incorporate other colors but still make the overall painting read as white.The request for this painting was an American Buff Goose in colors similar to the wings in my Honey Bee painting.

Cards are all printed for my next show - !! Now it is time for lots and lots of folding and packing!

This commission was for a goose with coloring inspired by the American Buff Goose. It was a really fun process and I will be sharing the final painting shortly!

Freshly printed greeting cards ready to be packed for this weekend! The show takes place at the Village Gate Atrium in Rochester, 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday.

I'll have lots of cards, art prints and even a few original paintings to share with you!

Larger sized New York State Collection prints are now in my Etsy shop! These prints are 11 x 14 inches as compared to my smaller 9 x 12 inch size. All the prints in this collection are now available in this size - NY Apples, Feathers and Leaves! They look great on their own or as a set together!

I will also be bringing some of the larger prints to this weekend, Nov 4th and 5th in Rochester.

My Cooking Time watercolor also sold earlier this year. This piece is designed to work as a set with my Reading Time painting and celebrates all things kitchen related! I enjoyed picking out the many different cooking gadgets to include in the piece. It's available as a print in my shop!

So happy that my original Reading Time watercolor found a home earlier this year! This painting represents all the different book genres I read most often as well as important reading accessories - the library card might be one of my favorite little details, but it is hard to decide!
