Thank you, Debbie with the Anaheim Alumni Association for this signed copy of “The Anaheim Colonist: An American Football History Book,” by Dennis Bateman and published by the Anaheim High School Alumni Association.
Had to share the message from the back cover which outlines a little about this book:
“The Anaheim Colonist have established a proud tradition for more than a century, setting the precedent for which many successful football programs follow to this day. Now, the memories and experiences that forged a gridiron legend have been brought together. This is the definitive chronicle of Orange County’s most historical football program.
Exclusive commentary and memories from dozens of former players, coaches, opponents, fans and boosters.
Rare and never seen photographs chronicling over 100 years of football.
Complete season by season and all-time vs. opponents records all extensively researched.
Foreword by Jim Fassel, former Anaheim quarterback and NFL coach of the year with the New York Giants.”

Grateful to recognize Mondragon Family Market for their four decades of serving the residents of Anaheim going above and beyond as local business owners by hosting a community toy giveaway and holiday event for working families in need this past holiday season. On behalf of the City of Anaheim, we thank you for your commitment to the community and wish your business continued success!
Starting 2024 out strong with a successful Mobile Family Resource Center Event in the Glen/Neighbors community.
Thank you Anaheim Neighborhood Services for leading this initiative for our wonderful city!
The Mobile FRC invites city departments and local non-profit organizations to host resource booths and engage with residents to establish communication and offer information, resources, food access, and emergency financial assistance, for residents that qualify.
Grateful for all the members of the community who stopped by our booth!
I appreciate all the organizations who attended but I’m going to give a special shout-out to Love Anaheim for bringing their mobile food truck which offers fresh food, milk and canned goods and OC Animal Care who provided our furry residents with new pet tags!
To honor Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy, sharing this powerful quote: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Dr. King's enduring wisdom continues to remind us to embrace selfless service to others.
Happy 95th birthday Dr. King!!
Positive energy at media day!
Shout-out to .photography for the amazing pictures. Always so professional, organized and the sports pictures look beautiful!

We're set to hold an Anaheim City Council workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 23, with an expected 3 p.m. start time, to hear about the proposal for potential new uses on Disneyland property around the theme parks.
The workshop is also expected to touch on a development agreement that would be part of the project proposal.
This is an informational workshop briefing that will go over the proposal. This is not a City Council vote on the project, which is expected later in 2024.
The workshop is a chance to learn more about the proposal and next steps of city consideration.
You're welcome to join us at City Hall at 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. or tune in online at Anaheim.net/TV.

January is National Human Trafficking & S*x Slavery Awareness Month.
Victims are subjected to injustices of human trafficking, including s*x trafficking, forced labor, involuntary servitude, forced marriage and debt bo***ge.
Anaheim Police Department serves as the lead agency in Orange County for the OC Human Trafficking Task Force YEAR ROUND. The blue represents awareness for this extremely important public safety issue.

Grateful to present Anaheim’s very own Reuben Droughns with a recognition for the pride he has brought to Anaheim High School and our city with an inspiring career as a professional athlete.
Class of 1996, Droughns was CIF champ in wrestling and the most prolific running back in Anaheim High history. After an incredible college career at the University of Oregon, he went on to play for five NFL teams, including the 2008 Super Bowl Champion, New York Giants. Reuben is a freind whom I’ve known since we attended Lincoln Elementary together! So many great memories. Glad to have him home even if just for a short time!
On behalf of the City of Anaheim and District 3 residents, we thank you for your contribution to our community!
Congratulations Coach Joe Mark for your remarkable impact on so many wrestling athletes at Anaheim High School from 1991-1998.
In those years, Coach Mark helped guide Anaheim High to 34 league championships. Under his leadership, the wrestling team won five straight league championships from 1994-1998 and was ranked top 5 in Orange County every year in that time. Coach Mark led his dual team to four Division 1 semifinal finishes and 1 CIF runner-up in 1998.
He saw 18 CIF placers, five CIF champions and nine state qualifiers. It is with great pride that Coach Mark will be inducted into the Anaheim High Hall of Fame. Your dedication to Anaheim youth made an impact on so many who became successful members of our community and nation.
On behalf of the City of Anaheim and District 3 residents, we thank you!
Gracias .alarcon for presenting this certificate on my behalf while I was at a council meeting!
After a productive day cannot wait to relax with this book! Super awesome to have creative and talented people like Melanie Walsh living in our community!
