Thanks so much for sticking around. I canโt wait to start creating again ๐
Iโm doing a little sourcing next week and aiming for a website drop near the end of April. Hoping to have about 20 pieces ready to go by then to offer up a few more options. Email subscribers will get early access so feel free to sign up on the website if youโre interested. A password to the Memberโs Only page will be emailed to you a few days before the drop (no pre-sales, thx for understanding)
As you probably know, I take my time and work slowly, especially with the multi-gemstone strands ๐. Laying out the stones, inspecting each one, stringing them on temp wire to visualize how the design lays on the neck, modifications, reaming as necessary, and finally knotting โ itโs a labor intensive process but I love it ๐
Hereโs a pastel multi-gemstone that will be included in the drop later this month, perfect for Spring/Summer (would look effortlessly cool with vintage denim). Havenโt knotted it yet. Any suggestions for silk color?
My obsession with color-rich gemstones is unwavering but sometimes, maybe just on Tuesdays even, all you need is a strand of pearls that your Mother gave you, a great sweater and distressed jeans to make you feel like a ๐ฅฐ
(Not to mention that I used most of my choice gemstones for the last drop and need to replenish my supply before the next one!) Thank you guys again for all of your support. Please know that I take all of your positive feedback to heart and use that positivity in the face of setbacks or when my fingers start to ache or when the silk breaks or when a piece is delayed in the mail. Much love to all of you, Julia โค๏ธ
Zero sun today so it was a little hard to capture the intense hues of this knotted strand but even in the grey light, she still makes a beautiful statement. Available at the next website drop in February! ๐๐๐
Late night preview post with some shots of the necklaces thatโll be dropping this Saturday. More details in the am ๐ด
Simple can also be statement worthy ๐
Iโll have a few solid strands available on Saturday including this beautiful high quality . Gorgeous stripes and swirls with tonal green hues; hand-knotted on dark green silk and combined with a detachable 14k gold triangle connector. Big collar energy + pink opals to start the week ๐
Handknotted pink opal strand with solid finishes will be included in my next website drop (my goal is this Thursday evening but Iโll confirm the date and time soon - just trying to finish up one or 2 more knotted necklaces to give you guys more options (handknotting takes a longgggg time, especially if using the back-knotting technique so thank you for your patience ๐
)
Happy Friday friends - we made it through the week, and it was a bumpy one for sure. While I try my best to be present and grateful for each day regardless of what day of the week it is, sometimes life serves up unexpected challenges that can throw you a little outta whack, know what I mean? I guess thatโs why I was drawn to working on this Botswana agate strand. This gemstone is known as a comfort stone and aids in establishing stability across emotional, physical and intellectual domains. In addition to promoting stability, it is also said to help with depression, as well as feelings of security and self-confidence. With its warm earthy tones and distinctive white bands, its easy to see why these healing properties are associated with it.
This strand of Botswana agate is a beautiful neutral piece that can transition easily from day to night. I knotted these gemstones on coordinating silk and added solid 14k yellow gold hardware and a chunky lobster claw/pear clasp that can be worn on the side or in front with your favorite charm or talisman. Available on the website next week (day and time to announced soon, thx for your patience)
How was everyoneโs week? Was it a little bumpy like mine or was it pretty smooth for you?
Despite my formal training in psychological measurement & statistics, I think Iโve always had creative inclinations. I remember enjoying book reports in elementary school not because I loved writing but because I loved designing the front cover ๐คฃ. I never pursued a creative path because I didnโt think it could ever amount to a โreal jobโ so I followed the road that led to corporate America and various levels of disillusionment. I stayed in the corporate world for years but found myself looking for any opportunity to express my creative side - I even forced my way into my kiddosโ school projects making elaborate dioramas and parade floats, all disguised as a momโs desire to โhelpโ. Now, with more than half of my life behind me, I am fortunate enough to find myself in a position where I can pursue something that I love to do. Thank you for letting me share it with you ๐๐๐ป๐
This with finishes will be available on my website next week (as well as the and the Madagascan ). Day and time will be announced soon, thank you for your patience.
Hi folks! Just wanted to let you know that all details for tmrwโs drop are now posted in Stories (Iโm in the process of adding everything to the website now.) Thank you for stopping by to check it out. I love every drop but this one in particular has my โค๏ธ. Thank you all for your positive feedback and tremendous support! Much love, Julia
