when people say, you have changed. i take that as a compliment, i do not want to stay the person i was a year ago or even when i was younger.

we are continually growing with knowledge, perspective, awareness, etc & sometimes we don’t need to shout it from the rooftops but showcase the new leaves that are growing!

why did you choose that major or why did you move to that area or why did choose to eat certain foods?

there is always a why behind ever decision we make… so here is my question for you!

what is your why? why do you wake everyday & choose to do the same thing over & over?

going back to my why when i feel burnt out or lost in the process, helps me to rest & realize that my why is much more than the circumstances or the weight that i am feeling in the moment!

so i encourage you to write down your why & save it on your phone or pin it to your wall so that way when the day gets cloudy you have something to reference & realize you are exactly leaving out your why!

the second slide is my why, why i chose this career, why i want to make people feel beautiful, why i choose to wake up everyday! my cosmo teacher had us a write out our whys for an assignment & i am forever grateful to her () for paving the way of reflecting on the decisions we make!

a phrase i have been reminding myself for the past three years, it’s taken a lot to get to this point.

learning that every step of the way is pushing towards more growth & new perspectives, finding your way.

i didn’t know i would be in the spot three years ago but ready to see what growth i get from the journey i have been on since moving back to this state.

reflecting on the first time i moved here & hating it to now being in a place that i can see growing more in, choosing to step out of your comfort zone is one scary step but it’s so worth it!

grateful for a job to be able to exude someone’s confidence through the art of hair! we have the ability to give someone that back with a change of color, haircut or in this case more hair!

this client is living proof that her circumstances doesn’t determine her beauty! she overcame breast cancer & now being able to offer her hair back speaks so much light & beauty!

so today might be another day but truthfully it’s a day where the darkness DID NOT win & still won’t continue to win! here’s to the light reigning forever more 🩵

I shed a person i didn’t like & adapted so much growth to become a person who still has areas to work on but is much more confident, intentional, happier because of trusting the Lord & his plan!

the best part of this job is to showcase the skill that is built with wanting to continue education & have mindset of growth!

social media can be exhausting when it is part of your job & it can be an illusion when it comes seeing everyone’s highlights rather than lows.

right now if i’m being honest it’s hard to open this app & not be discouraged on the phase i’m at or where i would want to be; working towards something that has been longer to get to.

i don’t want to promote a false narrative on here & i hope that through my page i promote the truth or my honest self to help at least one person along this journey!

so here is my encouragement to keep pushing towards your passions & dreams! there are going to be times or days where it’s tough & spread thin but it is all worth it because you were made for this! made for this time to showcase who you are! 🫶🏽
