Our Story
The Jeans Whisperer got its name when founder, Jan Forman, was referred to as such from a previous client. The client was frustrated and felt that her body was not made for jeans -- until Jan handed her the perfect pair. Seeing the surprise and joy from the client when she realized that she could feel amazing in a pair of jeans stirred something in Jan. She knew from that moment on that she wanted to recreate that feeling -- when a piece of clothing can bring our favorite parts of a client -- to as many women as possible. It was from that desire that The Jeans Whisperer was built.
Jan was a long-time resident of Fairfax County and first launched her fashion career with trunk shows. Having a keen eye (and a growing fanbase) for her ability to find clothing that fits, wears, and functions well, she opened The Jeans Whisperer in 2011. Now a staple in One Loudoun, The Jeans Whisperer offers women a flattering selection of intelligently versatile, fun to wear, stylish, and reasonably priced clothing from size 0 to 18. From fun textiles and prints, a wide variety of brands, to experienced and welcoming staff, The Jeans Whisperer is your one-stop-shop for all things fashion and function!
