On this Memorial Day, and all days, I am forever grateful to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
"I liken my life to walking down a long hall with many doors. As I go by, some of those doors open and some don’t. When a door opens, I look in, and if it looks like something I should be doing at the time, I do it. That’s really what I have done." - Margaret Farrow
I am deeply saddened by the loss of the Honorable Margaret Farrow. In the last few years, I had the opportunity to get to know Margaret, and eventually, earn her support for my candidacy. It was an absolute honor. In our conversations, it was clear to see her passion for public service, her wealth of knowledge, principled view of representation and her passion for life. She truly was a trailblazer. Out of all her accomplishments, she said she was most proud of raising her family with her husband John.
I am forever grateful that Margaret walked down that long hall and into the open doors, creating positive change and building a legacy to be admired by many.
Former Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Margaret Farrow passes away: 'She was a trailblazer' Margaret Farrow, the first woman to hold the position of Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, and a longtime lawmaker who served in both houses of the state's legislature, has died.
Merry Christmas!
On this Veterans Day, and every day, thank you to the many men and women who selflessly and courageously served and sacrificed for our freedom. We are forever grateful.
At this very moment, 20 years ago, I sat with my family at a church service, packed into the pews alongside our neighbors. While hundreds of miles away, we felt the gravity and sorrow and mourned alongside our fellow Americans. I'll never forget the moment I found out, the feeling in the pit of my stomach or the images on the television that played for days and weeks and months.
But, in the days to follow, I saw America rise up and re-build and unify. The sense of patriotism that coursed through our country was inexplainable. We were so proud to be American.
God teaches us that when we are weak, He is strong. This was evident in America. We may have been hit, but our strength was underestimated, as a nation and as neighbors.
In those days to follow, I wasn't certain if the America I knew as a child would exist again. At times, I have doubts, but there are also times like tonight, where on my evening walk, I see kids riding their bikes in the neighborhood, a wedding reception at the park and families enjoying dinner together on their back patio.
The America we know and love is still very much here, but it is up to us to keep her alive.
God bless America.
We will never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could freely live.
It was an honor to attend the moving Memorial Day Ceremony at the Chippewa Valley Veterans Memorial in Altoona this afternoon. Hundreds of people showed up to pay their respects to the fallen at the beautiful new memorial at River Prairie Park.
This past weekend I attended an election integrity presentation by American Majority Wisconsin. It was full of well-researched information about what happened in past elections and how we can resolve and prevent issues in our voting system moving forward. It should be hard to cheat and easy to vote. We must be diligent to staying informed and dedicated to staying involved.
This is a great presentation and I highly recommend attending one of American Majority's future events!
Tuesday, April 6th is Election Day in Wisconsin! Be sure to preview your ballot and check out the local races and candidates.
While our ballots will look very different, there is 1 office we all have the opportunity to vote for tomorrow - State School Superintendent. I'm voting for Deb Kerr as she has prioritized the students throughout her career (including getting them back to in-person instruction), displayed strong leadership to create positive change and will continue to do the same - leading our state's schools, educators and students.
Check what other races and candidates are on your ballot. Don't forget to ask a poll worker for a list of the registered write-in candidates, as well!

Thank you, President Donald J. Trump. You put America first and fought each and every day for the forgotten men and women of our country. You brought our soldiers home and were the first president in decades to not start a new war. You took on the tough battles that most avoid, walked the path less traveled and battled the Washington swamp, for us. Thank you.
Washington didn't change Donald Trump.
Donald Trump changed Washington.
"The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle, but instead only grow stronger by the day."
The best is yet to come.
A message from President Donald J. Trump as we look to the future.
Just a reminder as we go into tomorrow - Democrats have objected to past certifications of electoral votes. This is nothing new, the media and Democrat Party would just like you to think otherwise.
Wishing a merry Christmas to you and yours! Have a wonderful holiday filled with peace, comfort and joy!

Earlier today I was blessed to attend an event of remembrance of the attack on Pearl Harbor with veterans and patriots. As former State Senator Dave Zien stated, that December day 79 years ago is a reminder of vigilance and service.
The attack on the United States of America in 1941 awoke a sleeping tiger in America. Our country and the world were never the same due to the passionate service and dedication of so many soldiers in the fight against fascism.

"Nearly every seat that Republicans flipped this cycle was won by women."
I am so excited for the 17 new Republican congresswomen joining the House of Representatives! They fought hard, battling against all odds to win seats, chipping away at the Democrat majority.
Ready to see all the great work they will carry out as members of the 117th Congress!
Record number of Republican women set to join Congress House Republicans beat expectations of a wipeout on Election Day thanks to a wave of conservative women running for the first time — and winning.
