i hope you’re all living and thriving and soaking up the summertime. i’ve been spending a lot of time in nature, where my soul feels most at home — just learning to slow down and live for the small moments. it’s strange that i anticipated the summer months to be my busiest with La Muse. i felt i’d be constantly collecting vintage for you all as summer pieces are my favorite to source. in reality, i’ve found myself here less and less as the summer approached here in appalachia. i’ve just felt called to other things; the rivers, the forests, the time spent under the sun. reveling in it all with my boys, teaching them to nurture that part of themselves that is one with the Earth. we’ve been taking it slow and steady here in WV, the way i feel life was intended to be lived here.

i’m forever thankful that even in this season of living and focusing on motherhood and my own personal growth and change, i can still come here when life allows and do something that i have such a deep love for and you welcome it with open arms. though i’ve found myself sourcing less lately, i think the love i have for vintage and sustainable fashion feels more aligned with my life than ever as i’ve learned the beauty in the simple things, the pleasure in slowing down.

all this to say — it’s been a challenging couple years for me as a single mother trying to do all the things all the time, but i feel i’m finally finding myself, creating balance, and feeling content with where i am and the life i have. i’m blessed that all of you here have always supported me throughout it all and i hope to be here, a lot and a little when need be, through many more of life’s seasons.
