𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 🌳

𝘋𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘴, commonly known as katmon, is a tree endemic to the Philippines and may be found in the forests of Bataan, Zambales and Bulacan in Central Luzon. It is a tree best known for its large, snowy-white flowers and distinctly-spiraled fruit.

Considered as a vulnerable species, it can grow up to 17 meters tall. It is also propagated because of its value as a landscape tree.

The fruit of the katmon is sour, which makes it an ideal ingredient for jellies or jams. It is also used as a souring agent for sinigang. Moreover, the fruit is used as a cough remedy.

Salt is a natural component of soil and water that supports rich ecosystems. But with improper management practices increase the salt content of the soil known as salinization.

With the theme, "Halt soil salinization, boost soil productivity", World Soil Day 2021 aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing the growing challenges in soil management, fighting soil salinization, increasing soil awareness, and encouraging societies to improve soil health.

TINGNAN: Isang patay na green sea turtle ang natagpuan sa baybayin ng Barangay Baybay, Roxas, Capiz Martes.

Ang babaeng pawikan ay ang may habang 68.58 sentimetro at 54.102 sentimetro naman ang lapad.
