Part A - Written Examination
The written examination will consist of two papers, each of two hours duration and each
consisting of 90 Short Best Answer (SBA) questions as specified in the learning outcomes.
All questions should be attempted. Marks are not deducted for incorrect answers.
It is important to note that written papers are machine marked. Instructions on completing
your answer sheet will be provided and candidates are advised to follow them carefully.
For each examination diet, a passing standard is set using an Angoff standard setting procedure.

Part A - Written Component

UPDATE: A recent decision by the main
College Examinations Committee permits us to increase the time allowed for the paper to 4 hours and the paper will therefore now be split into two separate shorter papers, each of two hours duration and consisting of 90 SBA questions. This is with immediate effect inclusive of the January 2020 diet of the examination.
Updated Regulations and Candidate Guidance have
now been published on the website.
