We’ve all been there before—you wake up in the morning feeling relaxed and ready to take the day by storm…. right until you grab your phone and see all those emails just crying out for your attention. 📧‼️

Suddenly, your day turns sour and you haven't even made it out of bed yet! So now you feel overwhelmed by the avalanche of spam emails in your inbox. This piling of emails continues during the whole day, cluttering your headspace and your inbox.

Through our evolutionary development, we have been programmed to complete tasks instead of leaving them hanging—then we are greatly rewarded once we actually deal with the problems we face and take action. We receive a sense of accomplishment, which increases our self-esteem and confidence. Leaving us more mental and emotional capacity to deal with more productive with the things we really care about. 🥳💜

For email, this could be unsubscribing from all the spam lists that have gained your email, getting a mail organizer, deleting or blocking all irrelevant emails on your devices whether you use iPhone or Android.

So the next time you open up a spam email, scroll alllll the way down to the bottom, click unsubscribe, and enjoy your day! 💫

Today's tip has never been more relevant than this holiday season! Many of us are doing our part to stay safe during these crazy times by staying home and watching movies to pass the time.

Apart from the obvious — escaping our own lives and problems for a short time — there are many documented benefits to watching movies. In fact, it even has a name: cinema therapy.

Cinema therapy can be a powerful catalyst for healing and growth for anybody who is open to learning how movies affect us and to watching certain films with conscious awareness. It also allows us to use the effect of imagery, plot, music, etc. in films on our psyche for insight, inspiration, emotional release or relief and natural change.

How can watching movies that mirror our own struggles or experiences help us?

Some ways include:

- Watching movies encourages emotional release.
- Sad films can make us happier.
- Helps us make sense of our own lives.
- Movies give us a break from whatever is currently bothering us.
- They bring us a sense of relief, even if they stress us out first.

Want to test out this theory? Click the link below for a fun list of movies to watch to boost your mood!

This week's 's tip is to Invest in Comfortable Bedding 💫💤

A pillow that is too stiff or a mattress that is too soft may not seem like a big deal, but it can wreak havoc on your sleep schedule and overall health. The Better Sleep Council recommends replacing bedding if:

- You wake up with aches and pains
- You've had better sleep elsewhere
- Your mattress is more than 7 years old
- Your bed is too small or squeaks when you move

I'm guilty of putting up with all four of these reasons (🙃 ) for the last year or so and I'm just now beginning to notice how awful I feel when I wake up. My mood is horrible and I wake up more and more tired each day. I decided enough is enough so I finally started saving up to splurge on quality bedding. After all, a quiet, comfortable bed enables sound sleep. Considering how important sleep is to overall energy levels, investing in bedding you love is a smart idea. 🌙

A self-care morning routine is SO essential to maintaining your mental wellness and living a happy, healthy life! 🌞 Self-care is all about recognizing and nurturing your mental and physical needs in order to take care of yourself.  🌿

One of the biggest tips we can share is to avoid reaching for your phone first thing in the morning. 📵❌ I cannot even begin to count the number of times I’ve woken up, picked up my phone for 5 minutes only to find myself still lying in bed an hour later. If you find yourself doing the same, try leaving your phone in a different room at night, that way you don’t start your day off on the wrong foot!

Setting (and following!) a self-care morning routine will help you set productive goals and encourage positive thoughts and emotions. Here is my everyday self-care morning routine that I aim to do every morning. Use it for inspiration on creating your own self-care morning routine for your mental health! 💙

Regular investments in your health and wellness can give you abundance that will overflow into other areas of your life. If you think and believe in positive ways, you will attract positive things into your life. Sounds easy, right?
By switching to a positive mindset and rejecting negative self-talk, you can become successful in business, love, friendship, health...life!

The basis of manifestation is the idea that everything in the universe is made of energy, and energy attracts similar energy. It is not about what you want or THINK you deserve, it's about the frequency or vibration you are living, thinking and feeling.

Manifesting health and wellness means that negativity makes us more susceptible to ill health. However, the good news is that we can create optimal mental health by using the power of positivity. The bottom line is that you can think yourself well (or ill!). Here are some suggestions on manifesting health.

1. Recognize Your Thoughts
2. Be Clear
3. Think It, Feel It, Believe It!
4. Chill Out
5. Practice Gratitude

Happy Monday, friends!!! 💫

We're sorry we've been MIA lately but we're back and so excited to announce some great news in the week to come!

In the meantime, back to our regularly scheduled post. 📺

One anti-anxiety diet tip that we live by is limiting our intake of alcohol. This doesn't mean that we've completely cut out alcohol from our lives; we simply limit how much and how often we drink. Even though we still enjoy the occasional glass of wine or happy hour drinks with friends, we simply choose to not let it become part of our daily diet.

Alcohol is a depressant, and since anxiety and depression often go hand in hand, it doesn’t do us anxious folks any favors. Even though you often feel calmer after a drink or two, ultimately the sedative effect wears off, and the “withdrawal” tends to heighten anxiety and depression.

Here are 10 tips to cut down on alcohol:

1. Change your drinking habits.

2. Don’t drink on an empty stomach.

3. Quench your thirst with water or soft drinks.

4. Sip your drink slowly.

5. Make every second drink a non-alcoholic beverage.

6. Buy low-alcohol alternatives.

7. Opt out of shots.

8. Avoid salty snacks.

9. Do something other than drink if you're bored.

10. Keep track of your drinking habits.

Happy and !! 💙

Today's tip is all about setting mini goals for yourself and working hard to accomplish those goals. Nothing beats the feeling of checking off a box on a list, especially when the task took hard work and determination to complete.

No matter where you are on your mental health journey, working toward specific goals can help you live the life you want while managing your mental illness. Ask yourself, "What's one thing I can do today that helps me get closer to where I want to be?" Once you become more confident, you can work on accomplishing larger, more long-term goals. Think of the short-term goals you set as stepping stones to your larger recovery goal.

We're so excited to share one of our favorite on-the-go breakfast recipes that can easily be made with items you probably already have! If you're not a fan of oatmeal, you definitely will be after you try these delicious Banana-Berry Baked Oatmeal Bites.

1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
2. Place the banana in a large bowl and mash well with a fork. Add the almond milk, egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract, coconut oil, lemon zest and juice, and whisk until smooth and well combined. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Add the dry ingredient to the wet ingredients and whisk to combine. Stir in the blueberries.
3. Spoon the oatmeal mixture into the prepared mini muffin tin. Filling the wells almost to the top. You should have enough oatmeal for 20 bites.
4. Bake for 18-20 minutes until the oatmeal has set and the tops of the bites are lightly browned.
5. Let the bites cool in the muffin tin for 10 minutes. Serve warm OR carefully transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely and then refrigerate/freeze in an airtight container until you’re ready to eat.
