Building lead magnets is what I’d consider a tier 1 skill in business.

I’ve spent millions on lead magnet ads over the years that’s resulted in 10’s of millions in sales for clients.

I speak to a lot of people that aren’t utilising lead magnets, and when I ask them why it’s usually because they don’t even know where to start with them.

Usually they’re sat on a bank of resources they could use, but don’t because they are worried if people won’t want what they have, or they don’t want to give away resources clients have paid for…

Really it’s just about getting clear and concise, and removing the noise.

Because when you know how to:

1. Create a killer lead magnet
2. Promote the lead magnet

When done right, you will constantly be growing your audience and list every single day with people who are a good fit to become clients.

It’s also a fast way to bridge into low ticket offers if you utilise them in your business.

And it’s how you can build know, like and trust by demonstrating your expertise in a valuable and insightful way.

Personally I’ve built every type of lead magnet out there - I used to be big on free 5 day challenges which worked well in my health coaching business back in 2015-2017.

But these days I mostly use guides and short courses.

If you want my full lead magnet guide where I break down in more detail the strategy of how to build and promote lead magnets to attract your ideal clients…

There were periods where I’d be super focused on work, making money, behind the laptop 14 hours a day, but I would feel disconnected from myself, highly stressed, health not being respected.

2022 was like this for me, worked a tonne, put on weight, wasn’t happy.

And then there were periods where I was purely focused on healing, having a completely empty calendar and doing nothing but the ‘deep work’, feeling amazing but not creating financial stability or having an impact on others.

Early 2023 was like this for me, where I dropped the weight, got healthy, felt alive again.

But now, I realise it’s about integrating both.

It’s Yin and Yang.

Business requires physical, tangible actions.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t have space each day and week to focus purely on yourself.

Build a business around your life, create systems that free you, build a team you can lead, and your business will expand as you do.

If you want all the tech, tactics and ‘boring’ work handled, find the right team member or partner with someone to help you.

P.S that’s exactly what we do ;)

Stuck marketing to the same people and need to grow an audience of buyers?

Here’s how to grow your audience with the right people who will buy your offers.

Comment ‘ads’ below if you want a training that shows you how this works.

I’ve just put together a guide for Coaches to help you grow a list of engaged INBOUND leads each day.

Instead of having to cold DM strangers and play the ‘numbers game’, use this simple approach to growing relevant followers each day, and turning those followers into qualified calls booked.

To get access, message me the word FOLLOWERS, and I’ll send it over ✌️

I was on a call yesterday with a great coach who is doing well, but things had stagnated.

He was looking to run ads and had spoken to a few agencies but they were charging $10K upfront, plus large retainers on top of a minimum of $10k ad spend each month.

They wanted to build out a typical VSL funnel, which I know first hand isn’t something you can just nail day one and make profit from.

But they told him there was no way he could do this himself, it’s a full time job etc etc.

My take on this is that you can learn ads - and there’s a much simpler way to run them that is working much more effectively then traditional funnels.

It’s all about using content to create inbound messages and building an audience of relevant people.

At the start of the call he believed he needed someone else to run his ads, but by the end of the call I’d managed to shift his beliefs so he knew he could do this himself in a streamlined way… and without having to drop $10K into ads on day 1.

It’s not crazy complex to run ads on IG.

And if you want to get a breakdown of the system, comment Ads below and I’ll send it over 🙏

The truth about using Ads as a Coach⚡️

Despite running ads for hundreds of Coaches over the past few years, I don’t think this should be the next step for a lot of people.

You see, Ads aren’t some magic pill.

If you’re not converting clients organically, in a streamlined way, Ads are just going to be a stressful process.

They’re a great way to AMPLIFY what you’re already doing.

So my first port of call with MOST Coaches I work with is to look at their messaging and how they’re standing out in the marketplace with their content.

Then building a streamlined offer to get people booking calls.

Get some sales in and make sure the offer is converting.

THEN run paid ads.

I do have some clients who are ready to run ads faster than others, but hopefully this gives you a good insight depending on where you’re at in business.

If you are currently at 6 figures and ready to scale with ads, message me with the word ‘ads’ for a custom Gameplan 🚀

This is why most coaches struggle to land clients with their advertising efforts:

Over the past 4 years I've worked with over 300 online Coaches.

In this time, I’ve noticed a trend between those who take off fast, and those who get no traction with their ads.

It all comes down to understanding your audience and how your message connects with them.

Your ads (or content) needs to speak to a specific type of person.

This person has a problem they are aware of.

That they've been trying to change.

But they haven't had much luck by themselves.

So now they're more open to outside help.

It's down to you to show that you are that help.

Where most Coaches slip up is they go really broad with their message and use generic offers that make them blend into the marketplace.

So, they lose people.

They see expensive lead costs.

Unqualified calls.

Usually resulting in no return from their advertising efforts.

If you have a solution to someone's problem, go and present it to as many people who need to hear it as possible with ads.

The easiest way to create content is to think about:

Who is on the other side consuming this content piece?

What are they struggling with right now?

How can I help them in a really simple way through my content?

What is my story and how does that relate to them?

What is my vision and the difference I want to help create for my clients?

Your message is your marketing.

If you need help getting clear on your message and mapping out your marketing, DM me and let’s have a chat ⚡️

New guide for Hight-Ticket Coaches: Breaking down the simple system to find and sign dream clients on IG.

Huge announcement 🚀

It’s been a long time in the making, but I’m super excited to be launching a new 1-1 coaching program: AMPLIFY.

This is for those who are sick of the endless hustle and stress, starting each month from 0, and never getting to the next level in their biz.

This is for established Coaches who are ready to scale, OR Agency owners who want to transition their done for you services into a new coaching offer themselves.

I’ve already filled the first few spaces, however if you’re interested reach out in messenger and we can have a chat to see if it makes sense for you - no hard pressure BS, I’m only looking to work with those who are committed to doing the work and aren’t looking for some shiny object, quick fix ⚔️

*Moving forward I’ve also made the decision to only Coach Men in this experience as this is where my skills best lay - having been a Men’s performance Coach for several years before getting into marketing and ads.

If you want the details, message me ‘AMPLIFY’ and I’ll send them through.

Business is an inside-job.

I spent years chasing shiny objects, looking for the perfect strategy that would catapult my business forward.

I’d have some great months, and some not so great months.

After a while I’d gotten great at running ads and making sales, but I still kept sabotaging my success.

It was as if I had an invisible upper limit that I couldn’t break through.

At this point I realised I’d been trying so hard to hit financial goals in order to feel a certain way.

I though when I got to my goal everything would feel better, I would feel successful, proud, and like I’d “made it”.

However the opposite was true.

I felt like an imposter.

Like any day people would figure me out, my clients would leave and I’d get dragged back to the 9-5 life.

It’s taken 8 years of pushing, failing, accepting, healing and growing, but the last couple of years I’ve finally felt like this voice has dimmed to the point where I don’t hear it anymore.

I have clarity and just see things as they are, without the emotional attachment.

My energy is in a good place, and my business is growing through flow, not brute force.

Growing a business isn’t just about the right strategy (that’s still important, don’t get me wrong) - but creating and executing that strategy with the right energy and intention.

28/06/2023

Nothing helps with creativity more than switching off from technology and getting out into nature.

There’s more to business than being chained to your desk every waking moment.

The last 8 years I’ve travelled 5 continents, over 30 countries whilst running coaching/ agency businesses online.

Every time I start feeling disconnected, out of alignment or depleted energetically, I get out into nature to ground myself.

It’s a constant reminder that we don’t need another big strategy, shiny object or tactic.

We just need to connect to ourselves, our purpose and the mission were on within our business.

Now my batteries are recharged, it’s back to building.

Where’s your next adventure going to be?

When we compare our own journeys to others, it’s easy to want what we don’t have.

This comparison creates gaps, and leads to us feeling lack.

This lack creates friction.

And friction creates stress.

When we’re stressed it’s hard to be creative as our cortisol levels are increased and we’re now operating from a reactive state.

One of the best practices and thought processes I’ve adopted over the years is to start my day from a place of peace and reflection.

I’m working through my own thoughts without the influence of social media or outside influence.

I’m reviewing my vision, mission and values within my business and myself personally.

Then I get to work on my health and my business.

This allows me to stay proactive and productive.

And the income is a no-product of this.

Most people think they’ll feel better in themselves when they have the money, but in reality the opposite is true.

We create from the inside-out.

Peace ✌️

18/06/2023

At the start of this year I was feeling burnt out, uninspired and unhealthy, and this was reflecting in my agency, stagnating after making multi-6-figures last year.

6 years prior to this, I was at a business seminar with and he shared this quote which has forever stuck with me:

“Business grows at the rate of the Entrepreneur driving it”.

I knew from my own Entrepreneurial journey, when I’ve hit sticking points, it’s rarely been because of a lack of strategy, but something deeper.

I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of ideas.

I fill pages with notes every day.

Great ideas, never materialised because of fears, doubts, insecurities.

When we face these head on, we not just grow as a person, but as a leader in our business.

When we stop playing safe, we open up a world of opportunity.

So far this year, I’ve been stretching myself massively in my agency by working with different clientele, bigger businesses, and taking on more than I would typically.

At the same time, I’ve been putting my health first and created boundaries within work so I can travel more, be more present with my fiancé and just enjoy life more.

Ultimately allowing me to feel much more aligned than I had at the start of the year.

It’s no coincidence that my business is growing when I am too.

If you find yourself procrastinating and not doing the things you want to in your business…

Or you’ve hit creative blocks…

Or you’re not putting yourself out there because you’re fearful of how you’ll be received…

Look deeper than a marketing strategy, and get real with yourself.

Are you the person you need to be to successfully run the business you want?

If the answer is no, like it was for me at the start of this year, write out every character trait, belief and habit that you would have if you were successful.

And contrast that with what you’re doing now.

This will show you the gaps in yourself that you need to work on to start seeing meaningful progress both on life and in business.

When you do this, you’ll likely find the right mentor and peers show up on your life too, as they did for me.

Hope this helps - Hugh 🙏

Coaches & Consultants ⚡️

If you want to build a business that gives you more peace and profit;

Working with clients you love;

And keeping things simple by compounding recurring revenue;

Instead of starting each month from 0…

I’m opening 5 spaces to work 1-1 with the right people who want to grow using this compound model.

We’ll set you up with a hybrid funnel that allows you to use inexpensive ads and a content system to attract people you actually want to work with.

Coach you, give you all of my business SOPs relevant to you (I’ve built these up from 8 years of experience and generating over $30mil for clients).

And you’ll be coached and held accountable to keep you aligned each week.

This isn’t for people wanting to grow a massive team and do zillions in their business.

It’s for those who want to have a meaningful and fulfilling business that gives them freedom helping others.

If you want to get the details on how this works, message me the word ‘Compound’ 🙏

Coaches/ Consultants that have a killer program, can I do all of the heavy lifting to add $50K to your business and only get paid a cut after?

If you have a FB group or email list over 2000 people but you're having a hard time managing them to bring in sales, my team and I are looking to run a campaign to add an extra $50K+ in the next 30 days.

Chances are you're running ads and getting a good amount of leads through, but your lead > call rate is painfully low.

I've worked with a dozen of different businesses who hit the 7 figure mark through front-end hustle, but often their margins are lower than they'd like from relying so heavily on their ads to do all of the heavy lifting.

And they're usually stretched too thin to put the time and energy into getting their back-end dialled in.

That's why I want to build out this campaign for you.

Yes, we can probably get your front-end working a lot better, but first we want to fix the leaky bucket before we pour a load more water through it.

I don't run a typical agency and charge retainers, instead we work on a performance basis so we will only get paid a cut of new sales we generate for you through our campaign, once the payments have cleared your stripe account.

We also don't want to jump into anything long-term without first working together on an initial 30-day campaign, so there's no strings attached.

Here are the pre requisites we're looking for:
- Got amazing client testimonials
- Have a front-end offer over $3000
- Sales team are able to convert at a minimum 25%
- Have the capacity to onboard 1-2 clients a day

If this sounds like a good potential, then let's T-up a coffee on zoom and have a chat.

Drop me a message if you're interested in us running this for you ✌️

Something to consider when scaling a Coaching offer - play for the long-term, not for quick wins or you’ll forever be on the Hampstead wheel of signing clients and losing clients due to the nature of your limited time offer.

18/04/2023

I’ve just created a 15 min crash course breaking down how we set up a winning campaign, offer and funnel for a B2B consultant.

In the crash course I cover:

1. What funnel to use to get qualified calls booked.

2. How to write and position effective ads that draw in your ideal prospects and push away those who will never buy.

3. How to shift an offer to be focussed on retention and stacking cash each month (instead of starting every month from $0).

4. How to bypass the tedious testing phases and find profits faster when launching new campaigns.

When you’re running paid ads, make sure you’ve dialled in your follow up and content systems or you’ll be burning through cash with lower returns.

I'd signed around 40 clients for a $12K Mastermind offer in the space of a month and been given this award.

If I think back to how we were able to do this, there's really three key components:

𝟏. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫.

We would set up their ads, give them everything they needed to close and get clients results, supporting them every step of the way, and they could get started for 1K a month.

It was a no brainer, so long as they were driven to put the work in their end.

𝟐. 𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰.

Leads came in qualified, we had a demand of calls built up from the valuable content that was being given to them prior to booking - educating them and inspiring them.

- We were going hard with paid ads to always have a full pipeline.

𝟑. 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐲.

I've never been into hard-selling. If someone said they needed to think about it, I wouldn't push them (I would be responsible for coaching them so I didn't want people coming in that weren't committed).

But I would follow up with them to check in on how they were doing - some would come back onto a call 2 weeks later, some a few weeks after that, but ultimately those human touch points really helped.

I've since worked with over a dozen other 7 figure coaching businesses, and it's safe to say the year of 'doing the hard work' really fed into helping those clients.

Whilst platforms and tactics has evolved somewhat in the past 5 years, these three principles remain just as important.

Get these right, and you'll be on track to create a conveyor-belt of a business.
