Crickhowell with Cwmdu and Tretower Lib Dem County Council Candidates 2022
Keeping local residents up-to-date with key information regarding our campaign for the 2022 local elections.

We have been out and about in Llanbedr knocking on doors. We are absolutely knocked over by the support for our campaign on the doorstep. Llanbedr is a close knit hamlet on the outskirts of Crickhowell. Our daughter attends the school which Powys CC are attempting to close. The central issue of our campaign is to fight to keep it open, not just for the children and staff but also for the local community. It’s a successful school that provides a quality education. If it were to shut, it would send a worrying message to other small, rural schools which provide the backbone to primary education in Wales. Both Sarah-Jane and I attended small, rural primary schools and absolutely see the value that they provide.
It would be a devastating blow to the community if we lost the school which is why, if we as Lib Dems can gain control of the council, we will put a halt on these devastating closures and find viable alternatives such as clustering that will prevent communities becoming ripped apart.
