The summer kitchen is coming along. My goal is to have a roof over it before summer and doing well. It’s going to have an 8’ SS prep table, sink, 2-burner stove, and two Ooni pizza ovens that are heated with twigs to 1,000 degrees or only about 900 with propane. It’s snowing and I’m out of lumber until Wednesday when I can get back to the mill. It’s all local spruce milled about 10 miles away.
Earlier this week we (All of us) sent a check for more than $3,000- to John Kinney’s wife. To paraphrase Isra Banks in the letter that accompanied the check to the family, it may not take away their pain but hopefully it eases some of their day to day worries.

Friends,
A few updates regarding the loss of our friend John Kinney; Here is what we know so far:
- His family is overwhelmed with our community's kindness and generosity.
- The cost of his cremation is $3000; We met that goal today, thanks to all of you.
- There won't be a service now; there will be a celebration of life in Spring.
- His family has welcomed the idea of selling his Revit templates, courses, and artwork. We are working on resolving the legality of this and pricing, marketing, editing the videos. We will take pre-orders once we get more clarity on the legal aspect. (Funds will go directly to his family)
- His wife appreciates our collective efforts in sharing his story and his love and passion for Revit, art, and architecture. She said, "Revit is all he talked about"
Once again, thanks for your support, kindness, and generosity.
How many of you would be interested in a 100hrs of Revit training and Revit templates that would save you a hundred hours on each project.
The training and the templates are made by John Kenny.
They are not for sale yet. But we’re working hard to make them available.
The funds goes directly to his family. No middle person.
We’re looking for a copywriting attorney to make this process flawless.
Let me know in a comment, if you’re interested, or if you have information on the copywriting.
Also, we’re looking for volunteers to edit some of the videos.

You have LESS THAN one hour to develop floor plans, sections, all elevations, 3D models, and renderings, and (to be sure that at least one of you loses a finger) a chipboard model.
Cheating is encouraged! It's the only way to get a truly remarkable design! You all went to school and know what we're talking about! Stay up all night to get this done. (kidding)
None of the following will be required, You get Extra credit if you:
- Be easily built with sustainable technologies.
- Make use of natural and, or recycled materials.
- Be integrated with the socio-cultural context.
Submission requirements:
Minimum of one Floor plan and one elevation.
-Entry fees are $25. You can submit as many entries as you like. Each additional is $10.
-100% of the fees go to ARDEMAS, (with a small token going in the judges' pockets).
Submission rules
- Designs can be hand-drawn, digital, or even (new, clean) napkin sketches.
- There is no registration deadline. The submission due date is Wednesday, Dec.1st. We start accepting submissions on Thanksgiving day at 6 pm EST.
- Submissions will be sent to the ARDEMAS group.
- To register, you can send a check addressed to ARDEMAS, mailing address: 1288 Barton Orleans Rd. Barton, VT 05822. (YES, ARDEMAS has its own bank acc. now) If got an electronic payment method, we'll amend it immediately.
-Event Sponsors are welcome, A list of all sponsors will be announced too. To register, let us know in a comment.
- Participants will be sent (after registration) additional materials necessary for the project's development: datasheets, prices, images, and characteristics of the primary materials; maps of the village and the Valley; overview of the Valley; photos of the town, and the Valley; CAD and photographs of the construction site; Layouts of the designs. (No one is sending you any of these... Get to work!)
- A giant Thank You to John Jones for just being him and taking the initiative, suggesting a fun holiday exercise, and thinking of ARDEMAS!!
