SCOOBY DOOBY DOOOOOO! Halloween 2023 🎃🧡✨

Lake Tahoe pt. 3! The views surrounding Chimney Beach were breathtaking. We immediately wished we had worn our bathing suits, but we made it work. 💦 I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t get in.. the water was perfect, and so crystal clear! We were very grateful to spend some quality time together as a family before leaving my love and heading homeward without him. What a perfect day and way to end this adventure. This is the second trip I’ve taken solo with the kids this year, but this one felt extra special knowing we’d get to see for a couple of days and support him in his element. 🎵🎬 I had a revelation on this journey, or rather came to terms with the fact, that my little baby boy is not so little anymore. Watching him grow into who he’s meant to be is a blessing I can’t quite articulate with words.. he’s turned into my sidekick and best friend, and was such a trooper on this trip.. Always up for anything, my little Sagittarius ♐️💜 Feeling equally tired and blissed out as we make our way back into the rhythm of Home. ✨✨✨

Lake Tahoe Pt. 2 - Secret Cove Trail (the trail, not the n**e beach, although every beach is a n**e beach to Jade) 😂🤪🤦🏽‍♀️ Lake Tahoe feels a little bit like being in the Twilight Zone - part Gatlinburg vibes, part otherworldly wilderness and tranquility. Next time we definitely have to get out on the water - it’s so crystal clear! We also saw 2 different vizslas two days in a row and I know it’s a sign that a puppy’s coming into our life soon 🐾🤍

Lake Tahoe Pt. 1 🐟✨ Found a hip coffee shop (priorities lol), sauntered through the forest, played some putt-putt, witnessed the Kokanee salmon running (the wonders of Nature!), played at the lake shore and ate some traditional bohemian bakery 🍎✨ Fun fact, Tahoe is a mispronunciation of the native Washoe people’s “Da ow” meaning “lake.”

24 hours in Sacramento! So excited to be reunited with our after a long week away.. & Quinn was especially stoked (as always) to run around backstage at the venue. Billy Strings PNW tour continues! Next stop Lake Tahoe & then back to our comfort zone in the mountains of TN 🤍✨

Henry Cowell State Park was our last stop in the Santa Cruz area. Felton itself was such a cool little mountain town to drive through and explore. We stopped at a thrift shop & the kids were gifted free crystal necklaces. The folks in this area have been so pleasant and kind. 😊 We were able to see & touch trees over 2,000 years old here, & even got to see a banana slug in the wild! Onward to Sacramento, Tahoe & then homeward bound! 🌲🤍✨

Stepping out of the woods & back into city life in Santa Cruz. We stopped to do the Monterey Aquarium on the way up to break up the trip!
We especially enjoyed strolling down Pacific Ave, eating all the yummy food (Thai, 🍕, 🍦 etc. 🤪) & picnics on the beach. These kids are loving the sunshine in such a chill little surf town 🌞✨ Fast forward to Sacramento to meet up with our Daddio 💗

Pfeiffer Beach is one of those places where not only the astounding beauty, but also the utterly stark power and force of Mother Nature stares you right in the face.
From the incessantly dominant waves pounding against the shore, to the sheer cliff sides and beautiful rock formations (Keyhole Arch), there is an immediately drawn admiration and a demand for respect called forth here. We spent the day exploring and learning about giant sea kelp, natural arches, and the purple sand, among other things! (Erosion from the hillsides containing Manganese garnet causes a beautiful plum purple hue to parts of the beach - especially the morning after a rain, which it happened to be).
The last time we were here Quinn was around Jade’s age, so reflecting on these photos feels strangely full-circle to me. Time is a thief, and I’m so grateful so be able to spend some of it here with my Littles. Until we meet again Bug Sur 💜🌊✨

We pulled almost an 18 hour day but we made it across the country & down the Coast & I realized my kids are absolute champions. Not one break down. Knock on wood 😂 It’s utterly incredible to return to these spaces I hold so dear and sacred to my heart, and to notice the subtle ways in which these places change.. maybe more than that, the ways in which I’ve changed since visiting them time and time again.. witnessing them through new eyes, and better yet through the eyes of my children. It’s futile to try to put into words, but one thing I know for certain is this trip will be held as a core memory for all of us, and it’s only just begun. 🤍✨

Waaaaay up I feel blessed ☁️✨ ..feet on the ground but my head is still in the clouds from this weekend. Life is a wild ride & we are loving every minute of it over here! GREEN Adrenal Cocktail! Here it is friends! This is one of my favorite ways to pack in potassium, sodium, Vitamin C, & a long list of other beneficial nutrients in support of my metabolism, gut health, etc!
In all honesty I don’t measure out anything when I make these so this is an approximation of what I use. It makes 3-5 servings depending on how big of a drink you prefer! There are endless ways you could modify this to make it your own, so have some fun with it! 💚✨
YOU NEED:
2-3C frozen kale
1-2C frozen pineapple
3-5 lemons (peeled)
12-16oz. Coconut Water
3Tbsp Raw Honey
3Tsp Spirulina
Redmond’s Mineral Salt (added in at the end/as you are ready to drink your serving!)
DO IT:
Place all ingredients (except salt!) in a Vitamix/high speed blender & blend until smooth. You want it to have closer to the consistency of a juice rather than a smoothie, so add liquid as needed (can add more coconut water or even a simple tea- I like to use nettle infusion here if it needs more liquid!)
Once blended to your desired consistency, pour into a giant jar & serve as needed. I love it over ice!
Add a pinch of your mineral salt into your glass once you’ve served & stir well. Enjoy this refreshing take on the classic adrenal cocktail & let me know what you think in the comments!

Grateful beyond measure to be able to do what we love with our family in tow. The kiddos pulled long days like champs & daddy held it down all weekend. Quinnie was right outside for this pic, running barefoot with some other market kiddos. This togetherness, for us, is what life is all about.
