I have decided to take a small temporary break from jewellery whilst I get on top of planning my wedding.
Doing nails, jewellery, videos and planning a wedding is finally becoming a little too much! So as of now any orders placed via the website will be processed when I return (this may be after the wedding) I haven’t fully decided yet. Any orders currently due to be completed will be completed this week or next!! A little over 10 weeks to go eek! 👰 💒

Just a post to say that anyone who is needing memorial jewellery orders for Christmas I highly advise you order them now/as soon as possible! I haven’t been posting much jewellery lately but believe me I have been extremely busy behind the scenes. Barely chances to take photos of much because it’s just go go go!

Olaaa! I have Been extremely quiet on the advertising front but I’m still here working away on jewellery orders. Will be posting some of the most recent creations here this coming week now that most of my events are over and I have more time on my hands.

First up…Beautiful matching rings for Amy & Olivia with their precious little babies Marti & Carlo ashes and hair who sadly passed away.

Some of you may be aware that I am in amongst a charity they have both created called Carlo & Marti’s Fund. This charity is also paired up alongside Dundees very own where donations are made in order for myself & lumilo to create memorial pieces (jewellery for me and hand/feet casts from lumilo) for families in need or to just gift them something at such a tragic time in their life’s 🕊️

The charity has been an absolute massive success and have already gifted so many families memorial forever keepsakes.

This beautiful tear drop ring was customised in the colour of her nanas dress.

After sending me a photo I agreed I could replicate this. The pressure is on with things like this as i understand it needs to be perfect.

This lovely ring holds the hair of her precious nana who I had the pleasure of meeting on numerous occasions as I done her nails over the years ✨

A little slower in replies at the moment my apologies. My Main focus is getting jewellery made and delivered in the correct time frame❤️

I will have to extend my time frame for any orders going forward though so Any orders placed from here on with no specific date required on order form will be a minimum of 6 weeks turn around.

Throw back to My last busy day for jewellery last week🥹 Days like that where you get so much done is such an amazing feeling. You feel so organised and the anxiety of running behind vanishes for a few days. Until it returns…..

I unfortunately Haven’t managed much this week in regards to physically making but lots going on behind the scenes here as usual.
It pains me that I have to give such high turn around times as I know you would all love your jewellery super quick💖

Trying to work full time and be a mummy and run what is becoming an almost other full time business it gets a bit manic.
Here are just a few insights that take place over here at Pixie dust ashes which is why it leads to such a high turn around doing all of this along side my full time job, being a parent and having a social life of course 🥰

✨Continuously posting content. Making little videos of the jewellery and piecing them all together. This in itself uses so much of my time and if I didn’t do this you lovely people wouldn’t know about me. So it’s extremely important to keep this up. People who get paid to be full time content creators and then slandered as it’s not a ‘real job’ believe me it is.

✨Taking the best quality photos of my pieces with good back drops/props to enhance the beauty of your piece. Also helps to have professional looking photos for my website I am trying so hard to build.

✨Editing these pictures to ensure my water mark is through them all. Get rid of any bad lighting/shadows etc

✨Discussing queries with you all via mails. As purchasing something of this kind requires some time to discuss colouring, placement of ashes/hair etc to ensure it’s perfect. This is why sometimes 2-3 days go by and I haven’t answered. I will always answer it just takes me some time. I like to sit down and go through mails with a clear mind/child in bed so I don’t make any mistakes😂🫣

✨Sending out ring sizers to people who need them as unsure of ring size.

✨Ordering in the jewellery which is also tedious as I use various different suppliers. It can become quite Time consuming ordering in lots of different sizes. Different Chain lengths for pendants etc. Somethings are out of stock so continuously having to check for re stock etc.

✨Physically making the jewellery also which per piece can take quite some time due to my customise option. You can literally customise your piece down to the last sparkle placement.

✨Polishing the silver is also time consuming as sometimes if silver is sat for a bit it can turn an off grey colour so this needs buffing.

✨Packing up your order and taking it to the post office. I tend to do this in bulks so I’m not taking a trip to the post office multiple times a week when one piece is completed.

✨Ordering in the jewellery boxes, polishing cloths, resin, powders, printed vouchers that I make myself, packaging, personalised ribbon the list is endless.

✨Updating the website with new arrivals/new photos I have taken of my pieces.

I felt a little (big lol) explanation was needed to justify the 4-6 week turn around. It’s extremely hard work at the moment to keep both of these business’ afloat and it wouldn’t be possible without my lovely understanding customers. 2023 is hopefully the year I manage to stop my nails and do my jewellery full time. This will reduce my turn around time MASSIVELY and I cannot wait. It really is my absolute Dream ☁️ 💖

This beautiful ring was purchased in colour Orange with Hair to be added inside. In the added note section of the website it was requested to be similar to a sunset 🌅

After contacting the customer to see what she wanted she told me to choose what I felt was best.
I chose the warmer tones of a sunset rather than add the dark to keep the ring bright & colourful.

‘Her grandad passed 2 year ago and she always posts videos of him and pics of the sunset that’s why i decided to go for that. It’s absolutely beautiful # # #’

These beautiful dog bone keyrings with names set inside. This customer chose to have the colour ‘Just ash’. This is purely ashes and no colour added in at all and I must say It’s a new favourite of mine.

My customer initially ordered just keyrings however there was a little left over in the resin so instead of discarding ashes which is something I hate doing and avoid at all costs, something just doesn’t sit right with me just chucking them😭 so I made a complimentary tree decoration in ‘Just ash’ colour too. The results are beautiful✨

Well I can tell you now that was the busiest most stressful December to date. The Royal Mail strikes caused so much stress and unfortunately meant a handful of my customers were let down for Christmas gifts. Completely out with my control and I’m so glad everyone understood.
