A Peaceful morning!πŸ’™

Peace is not the absence of conflict but on how we cope up with it.

Dearest Brothers and Sisters for Peace, we may experience hardships and challenges in our journey towards Peace but may we not stop - stop reaching for our vision and goal of Building a Culture of Peace, one child, one family, one school and one community at a time.

A peaceful morning Dearest Peace Heroes!

A Peaceful Morning Youth Peace Heroes!πŸ•Š

Meet one of our dedicated volunteers from project BONDingan, Ate Asmera M. Tantua. As she encourage more young people to engage in peace formation sessions.

"Sobrang saya pala sumali o mapabilang sa mga organization or mga project ng mga Youth, kasi marami kang matu-tutunan at napapasaya mopa ang mga bata. The Project BONDingan ito ung Isa sa pinaka magandang nangyari sa buhay ko this year at mas lalo ko pang nauwaan ang salitang PEACE kung gaano ito kahalaga lalo na sa mga katulad naming mga kabataan."

Thank you so much Ate Asmera!πŸ’™

IF WE WANT A PEACEFUL NATION, WE MUST INVEST A CULTURE OF PEACE IN THE HEART OF EVERY CHILD.

πŸ•ŠBai Rohaniza Sumndad - Usman

We're down to our last Peace Education session and we are happy to witness how it left an impact to our Peace Hero Kids at Pagalongan Central Elementary School (PACES).

Fourty three participants, of 8 to 12 years old - grade school pupils joined us today on our Learning to Live Together workshop and peace adventure! The children were able to describe what peace symbolizes in their lives, implant what a peaceful classroom and school is, as well as learning together while having fun through peace building games.

This program wouldn't be successful without our brilliant teaching force of PACES, especially Principal Asnania A. Camama who encouraged us to pursue with the program with her guidance and utmost support to the team.

To our Peace Hero volunteers, you are the heart and soul of project BONDingan and we are honored to have you in our team for the past two (2) months. Thank you so much.πŸ’™πŸ•Š

PEACE HEROES UPDATESπŸ•Š

Recently, many children are having a hard time adjusting with the new normal brought by the Covid-19 pandemic. Screen dependency, inferiority complex, and low self-esteem are being experienced and seen visible in children during our project BONDingan implementation, and of 8 to 14 years of age are suffering from this consition as we are now observing limited face-to-face classes.

Yesterday, we had our Phase 3 Peace Education Training for Children. Our participants were Grade six (6) students of Pagalongan Central Elementary School (PACES), present on that day to receive their modules and unexpectedly invited to join the peace education sessions.

Kudos to our Peace Hero Volunteers from GYAO and AMPSC education students! A JOB WELL DONE.πŸ’™πŸ•Š

PEACE HERO KIDS!πŸ•Š

"If we are to teach real peace in the world, we shall have to begin with children."

As we dive deep into Peace Advocacy, today we conducted our Project BONDingan Phase 1 for the children across the four barangays of Pagalongan in Ditsa-an Ramain.

We would like to extend our warmest gratitude to school principal Ms. Asnaniah A. Camama of Pagalongan Central Elementary School (PACES) and the faculties who graced and welcomed us together with their Suprime Pupils Government (SPG) and our Peace Heroes Volunteers.πŸ’™

PEACE HEROES' UPDATE!πŸ•Š

Alhamdulillah, we had succesfully launched our first Project BONDingan: Training of Trainers (TOT) today at Pagalongan Guinaopan Multipurpose Hall in Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del sur.

Together with us are the eleven (11) brave youth volunteers coming from Guinaopan Youth Action Organization and education students from Adiong Memorial Polytechnic State College as our new breed of Peace Heroes!

Our session today is about Learning to Live Together values for children and youth, Attributes of a Peace Educator, Preventing Conflict amongst us, Culture of Peace Adventure, Visioning of a Peaceful Home and some conflict prevention strategies followed by simulations of various workshops and creative peace games.

"It is very important that we capacitate ourselves with the knowledge, values, skills, and attitudes that would make us peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of all kinds."πŸ’™

HERE COMES THE PEACE HEROES! πŸ•Š

Our Project BONDingan aims to provide safe space for young people and children to learn peace and break their perception on education as "a duty and a burden" during the surge of Covid-19 pandemic.

BONDingan are composed of three words such as "Bond" to create unity and connection, "Bandingan" which means to tackle, talk about or converse, and lastly the word "dingan-dingan" means to dream of (pag-aasam).

Let's go on an Adventure, Ditsa-an Ramain!
