Here is the weekend update and this will be a little long as I can’t thank everyone enough for the help I got to make this weekend happen.
We missed the setup a bit in time trials and timed 38th out of 67 cars and that put us starting 6th in our heat after lots of changes to better the handling. Was able to get up to 4th and battle for a qualifying spot and miss 3rd for a feature spot by .052 seconds at the line. Car was getting fast then started 1st in the consi and pulled a 3 second lead after a rain delay and a fast heavy track developed. That set us to roll of 26th in the feature after making some changes we rolled off for the feature. By lap 12 laps and a red flag I was up to 19th and started to notice a lack of power to the car. We limped to lap 18 before another red and rain delay running 17th. Power was getting less as the race went on and I knew it wasn’t good so we went home after rain delay til Saturday morning and was up til 3:30 A.M. Saturday morning changing motors that the Falanga family generously let me borrow to finish the show. So Saturday morning we finished up the car and headed back to the track. We made a few adjustments and sent off for the final 32 laps. Made it up to 14th by lap 23 and got a right rear flat. The crew went to work and got me back out to start 19th on the restart. And we made a charge to 6th in 16 laps. Then with 8 laps to go I was monster trucked going into turn 3. That took out the front end in the car and ended a strong run.

Here is the 2023 Grandview Speedway Inc. season recap for me as we ended the season with a 13th in points and a few top 10s to go with it as I ran a torsion bar car all year and switched shock packages and brand. As well as motors late in the season do to a mechanical issue. We ended up qualifying for every race that we showed up to but 1 do to a coil positive wire falling off. I want to thank everyone who put in the hours and time to help me as we capped off the year with a run from deep in a heat race starting last and getting 8th to starting 4th in my consi and finishing 3rd to make the minute man 20 was great but then luck fell our way with a 9 car pile up that helped me get a shot at the big dance and I put it in the show. I can’t thank everyone enough and all my sponsors and fans and teams who helped me when I needed it most.

The season is still young as we plan to head to Delaware in two weeks and then New Egypt Speedway for the October 7th show, then off to BAPS Motor Speedway for the 602 crate weekend, off to ESW at Orange County Fair Speedway and back to BAPS Motor Speedway for the last mod show of the season.

I want to give a huge shoutout to my parents and my family. The guy who helps more than just shock Ron Seltmann from Fast Four Racing Shocks for sticking me in a great spot with coils for the biggest race of the year. My lovely girlfriend Molly Strussy and her family for putting up with us missing a lot for racing all summer.

I want to thank Jeremy Krauss for letting me run Alyssa’s small car in the mechanics race last night. Should have won but got blatantly dumped in turn 1 catching the leader from 5th. What a good car and good family thank you again and congratulations on the win in the stock car class.

Been a little lazy on updating the page lately just super busy. We started 6th in our heat Saturday and finished 4th taking us to start 8th in the feature and struggled with a tight car in the feature and salvaged a 15th but still had a good points night as the season comes close to an end at Grandview Speedway. Stay Tuned for posts on our travels we will be doing soon when the 2023 Grandview Speedway Points Season is over.

What a weekend shame it ended in our first 358 race of my rookie season not making the show do to 30 cents. The night started out rough getting driven through in the heat by the same guy as every other week and drawing a caution then was 11th and finished there. Went out in consi on lap 1 went 10th to 8th and on the back stretch the car died. We came in and pulled the hood to find a wire pulled out of a ring terminal for our coils ground wire. That ended our night now it’s on to next week with hopefully a better result.
