Swedish sculptor discovered his now-signature style through an explosive moment of pure frustration. “I was making a frame out of clay for a painting at the time. I got so frustrated that I crushed it all together.” The 3D shapes instantly spoke to him, but he had to double check he wasn’t alone. “I called my girlfriend into the room, and she agreed that I was onto something.” Three years later, Pourrahmaty’s work now hangs on the walls of in-the-know art collectors across the globe.

If you ask where she lives, she isn’t quite sure how to respond. Just recently she and her husband, , were posed that supposedly straightforward question and, rather than answer, they just looked at each other, a little perplexed. Born in Surrey, England, Collins has called LA and England home since she was five years old, “we’re sort of popping between LA, Copenhagen, London and when I’m working, Paris. So I guess slightly nomadic” – emphasis on Copenhagen. Since settling into her new home Denmark, Collins has gained a better sense of the geography of the city. Her husband has even been learning Danish. “He can translate menus and signs, order things and talk to people,” says Collins, who admits she’s only picked up “a little bit” of Danish herself. “I promise I’ll learn more soon!”
