Start with basic learning and never miss any step in hurry.
1. Do paste L plate at front and rear windshield even if you are going to drive in open ground.
2. First two days just sit in driver's seat and practice ABC paddles. Once you are full confident about placement of these paddles then only start the driving practice.
3. Start engine while car is in neutral gear and practice to release clutch as slowly as you can. Repeat it for some time to get familiar to clutch. Practice same thing for pressing brake paddle. Don't press hard but press as slowly as you can and down to full extent. It should take 1 hour of focused practice.
4. Try to get familiar with ORVMs. Set them so that you can see rear edges of you car and road behind you. Practice with IRVM as well. Don't place any object on parcel tray.
While the car engine is still off, practice gear engagement until you are confident of it. You must not see at the gear k**b or MID to see the gear engagement.
5. Now, start the engine and release the clutch paddle. Give engine atleast half a minute to settle down. Now, press the clutch paddle and engage the first gear. See in front of you for any children (playing in the ground assuming car is just standing) or stray dogs. Then, slowly release the clutch paddle. This step is all about your confidence and driving skill. Practice till car moves without any jerk each time. At this step you need not pressing accelerator paddle.
6. Once you are confident with first gear, practice same thing with reverse gear. Car must move without any jerk.
7. Now comes the front judgement practice. Place a brick or small piece of stone in front. Keep safe distance and move your car slowly towards it. After few second, you will not be able to see that object but you should have judgement of your car bonut length and car must stop 50cm before that brick or stone every time. Then you can practice same thing with other car standing in front of you.
8. Now comes side judgement. Place a colourful sticker at middle of your car dashboard. Or better, take help of a friend or family member. They will guide you while standing at left edge of your car and at what position you see them through windshield, paste a sticker. This is your left side. Do same thing with right edge.
Now I have to go for my car service. So till then practice these steps!
