After a much-needed, magical vacation in the Adriatic Sea, I’m back in the U.S. and looking forward to my next two adventures this summer: Elevating Flutistry 2023 in Boise, ID and the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, CO! 🎶🎉😍

So proud of these fabulous flutists for their performances at our spring studio recital! 🎉🎶

We are so grateful to have gotten to perform with Wan Lin, our fantastic collaborative pianist! 🎹

The amount of growth and progress for each of these flutists from last recital to this one blows me away. I’m so lucky to teach such wonderful students. 🥰

I had such a great time performing Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 1 in D minor with these fantastic musicians! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to play with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and I hope we get to play together again someday! 😊🥰🎶

Excited to perform with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago on December 19th! It has been so wonderful to play with such a talented and artistic group of people under the direction of Rossen Milanov. I’m looking forward to my first performance in Orchestra Hall on Monday! 🥰🌟🎶

It was a wonderful afternoon of music-making and flutistry followed by celebrations with cookies and dance parties! Thank you to our collaborative pianist, Wan Lin, for playing with us. Thank you to the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign for allowing us to use their chapel for our performance. Thank you to the family and friends that came out to support these amazing students. And finally, thank you to these fabulous flutists for their hard work and preparation! Performing takes a lot of bravery and these students have it in spades. 😊👏🏼

The flutists of the Madison Booth Flute Studio are performing in our Fall 2022 recital on November 5th at the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign! We're looking forward to sharing our musical talents and artistry. 🎶🎹🎉👏

I had so much fun working with these students and I’m so proud of them! After a week of masterclasses, chamber music, flute choir, music history, music theory, dalcroze, musician wellness, confidence & artistry, 30 second dance parties, and more, I think we can all say we have “elevated” our flute technique and musicianship. 👏🏼

(Take a sip of water! Elevating Flutistry Rule #1: drink a sip of water for every bad joke/pun. 😆💧)

Some key takeaways from this week to remember:
🔹 Not everything is at eye level. 👁👁
🔹 Life is like a ziploc bag - you won’t understand the contents until later on.

I had the opportunity to teach these wonderful flutists during ISYM’s Senior Band camp this week! We worked on band repertoire and flute fundamentals like tone, vibrato, finger technique, double tonguing, and extended techniques. We also took some time to stretch, strengthen, and talk about how to take care of our bodies as musicians. Go flutes! 🥰🎶

I’m so proud of their progress and performances today! is a fantastic musical experience for middle and high school aged musicians, and I’m glad to have been a part of it. Go flutes!! 🥰

I played my Master’s Recital last weekend with Yu-Jung Feng on piano, and it was such a great experience! It was so exciting to perform repertoire that I’ve been hoping to play for years. Thank you to everyone that came out or tuned into the livestream! Your support means the world. 😍❤️

I’ll be graduating with my masters in 16 days and I’m looking forward to what’s next! 🎓🎉
