Browne-Ginn Duo

duo has spent countless hours locating. Many remarkable original works and arrangements for flute and guitar that are little known within the repertoire are championed by the duo. Most importantly, performances are always sure to entertain and encompass a wide array of emotion, giving the audience an unforgettable experience. Miranda Browne was introduced to classical music at a young age. She has performed as a soloist and chamber artist across the country at events including the National Flute Association annual conventions, Chicago Flute Club conventions, Southeast Michigan Flute Association seasonal events, as a guest concerto soloist with the Michigan Flute Orchestra at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and was a finalist in the Young Artist Competition held by the Southern Flute Festival. In addition to her frequent solo and chamber performances, she performs as piccoloist with the Michigan Flute Orchestra and is a board member for the Southeast Michigan Flute Association. Browne has had success as a teacher within her private studio with studio graduates pursuing their own music careers professionally. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Central Michigan University where she studied with Dr. Joanna Cowan White and Dr. Tess Miller. She has received extensive postgraduate study and mentorship under Jeffery Zook. Classical guitarist Tim Ginn has been featured extensively as a recitalist. He has given performances throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, both as a soloist and member of the Browne-Ginn duo. Recent highlights include performing at the Michigan Classical Guitar Festival, National Flute Association Annual Convention, recitals for the Classical Guitar Society of Michigan and Mid-Michigan Classical Guitar Societies, and a period of study at the Atelier R. In addition to his frequent concert engagements Ginn maintains a private studio teaching students of all ages to a high standard. An active member of the Southeast Michigan guitar community, he is currently the Vice Presidents of the Classical Guitar Society of Michigan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Central Michigan University. His teachers include Dr. Brad DeRoche, Brian Roberts, Denis Azabagic and Raphaella Smits.
