A Farewell to Commah

It is with a mix of pride and nostalgia that I announce the closing of Commah on November 23, after 5 incredible years of business. What started as an idea in high school to solve the problem of toxic air freshening products has grown into a company that I'm truly proud of. From air fresheners to essential oils, car diffusers, and incense sticks, Commah has always been rooted in creating natural alternatives for our customers.

Our Journey

2020: It all began with a 2oz lavender air freshener as our MVP. That same year, we pitched locally and won the capital we needed to bring Commah to life.
2021: We officially filed our business with the State of Wisconsin and became the youngest people to open a business checking account in the state. I had the honor of pitching Commah at the local, state, and national levels, where I met icons like Craig Culver and Greg Marcus. We also launched our Citrus Blast, Fresh Linen, and Bamboo scents and landed products in Beans and Bites, along with three other local and national retailers.
2022: Commah was featured on "Project Pitch It," and we expanded our offerings to include car diffusers and custom essential oil blends.
2023: This year was a big one, as we secured our largest wholesale account with Festival Foods, and I graduated from high school and began my journey at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As I look back on these years, I realize just how much Commah has taught me, not only about business but about perseverance, growth, and community. Commah wouldn't be what it is today without the support of so many people.

Looking Ahead
As I close this chapter, my resources and time are now focused on preparing the launch of two new companies. Davite Aromatics (www.davitearomatics.com) is set to launch in the spring of 2025, specializing in custom scenting for businesses, homes, and events. Davite will also offer luxurious retail and private-label soap, scrubs, and more. Additionally, I’ve recently launched Unbar (www.myunbar.com), a partnership between Rewired Dynamics and Davite, which is creating soap with a purpose, empowering authenticity through the simple act of using a bar of soap.

I want to personally thank each of you for your support over these past 5 years. It’s been an incredible journey, and I look forward to sharing what’s next with you. Commah has been my first step, but it’s certainly not the last.

Currently a freshman in college, I am pursuing a degree in Operations and Technology Management and Information Systems. My foundation in business began long before Commah's inception. The scent of entrepreneurship has always intrigued me. As a teenager, I dove into the world of business plans, research, and industry networking while still in high school. This journey ignited a spark within me, propelling me to advocate for student entrepreneurship education. Job Description:

As a Davite Brand Ambassador, you will be responsible for representing our brand and sharing your passion for luxury scents with your social media following. You will create engaging content to showcase our products, collaborate with our team, and help us expand our reach to a wider audience. This is a part-time, contract position that allows you to work remotely and on your own schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Create captivating content featuring Davite products on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Showcase our scents in your unique style and engage your audience with compelling product recommendations
- Actively promote Davite and drive brand awareness through your social media platforms
- Collaborate with our team to align content strategy and participate in brainstorming sessions
- Attend biannual photoshoots at our headquarters in Fond du Lac, WI, to create high-quality content for future use

Requirements:

- Active and engaged social media presence with a strong following on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Passion for luxury scents and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create high-quality content that aligns with Davite's brand values
- Availability to travel to Fond du Lac, WI twice a year for photoshoots
- Though not a requirement, those aged 16-25 will be given a hiring preference
