Comp will kick off at 3pm to avoid the heat of the day.

With Celtic Fest coming up at the end of October, we wanted to offer some of our Highland games friends an opportunity to practice and show others how to throw. If you are interested in throwing come join us this Saturday on our green space!

Strongman Saturday: Strongman Corporation’s Nationals is in two weeks! This will be one of the final training days to prep for nationals and we have one of the only wheelbarrows in the state of Mississippi, here at the church. We will be in the CLC parking garage from 8:30-12:30 doing strongman training.

Boot camp: 10:30-11:30am we will be having our boot camp. Make sure you get here and get a great workout in!

Can’t wait to see everyone Saturday morning! It’s going to be a beautiful day.

First Baptist Jackson will be hosting Strongman Saturday/ Highland Game training/ general population Boot camp, one Saturday a month starting August 21st 2021 from 8:30am-12:30pm come and go. This first one is hot off the heels of Alabama’s Strongest and will be geared to getting competitors prepped for Mississippi’s Strongest. Boot camp will be for anyone who wants to come and just wants to get a good workout in. Strongman will be for anyone who is interested in just trying it out and Highland games prep will be available as well.
No fee. Just sign our liability form day of and hopefully the weather holds out. We will have an indoor option if there is rain.

Excited to use these kegs for the Keg Toss for Mississippi’s Strongest! September 18th will be here soon! (Also the keg weights may be a little lighter than originally planned, so just get use to throwing and we will make adjustments as needed).
