This summer saw two small female owned Albanian Businesses in London come together to bring you something special.
With MANAJ Designs focus on creating sustainable clothing that celebrates their culture and Tringa's Prints projects key focus to bring Kosovo's Architecture and Urbanism into focus through Prints. The KSV collection was born. Each shirt depicted key landmarks from cities around Kosovo from the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina to the Church and Moque in Ferizaj, with a short summary of the buildings key history playing a vital role in educating and raising awareness of one of europes youngest countries and oldest cultures. Sales were made worldwide from London to New York. Love and passion was received gratefully.

Built in 1977, Palace of Youth and Sports (Pallati i RinisΓ« dhe Sporteve) was designed by renowned Bosnian modernist architect Ε½ivorad JankoviΔ, during the Yugoslav Communist system in Kosovo. The project was designed in response to an architectural competition launched at the request of Kosovoβs inhabitants in 1974.
The building forms a significant part of the cities urban plan and is representative of Brutalist architecture in Prishtina. The scheme covers 34,000 m2, designed as a sports, public, commercial and event centre, it includes two buildings and underground car parks.
Formally known as βBoro-Ramizβ after two World War II Yugoslav Partisans and Peopleβs Heroes of Yugoslavia. Boro VukmiroviΔ (Montenegrin) and Ramiz Sadiku (Albanian) and was intended to be a symbol of the unity between the Albanians and the Balkan nations. It is believed that the two sides of the buildings were designed to symbolize this unity.
The complex is still in use today, however following a fire, it has been partially closed since 2000. The buildings remains one of the symbols of the modern city and is a key landmark when entering Prishtina.
