🌟 DTU Hosts Groundbreaking Conference on National Youth Day 🌟
Delhi Technological University (DTU) takes a giant leap towards encouraging social responsibility of educational institutions! 🎓✨

DTU successfully organized the 1st National Conference on "Social Responsibility of Educational Institutions in the Context of NEP - 2020," commemorating National Youth Day on Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. 🎉
This pioneering event, hosted by the Centre for Extension and Field Outreach (OEA) at DTU, in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities, All India Council for Technical Education, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, was aimed to delve into the pivotal role of educational institutions in shaping social consciousness and community participation, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. 🌐
👥 Highlights:
• Over 175 participants from various states engaged in insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing.
• Eminent speakers addressed diverse facets of educational institutions' social responsibility.
• Prof. Prateek Sharma, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of DTU, urged the cultivation of character as a catalyst for societal betterment.
• Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General of the Association of Indian Universities, emphasized fostering social responsibility by Higher Education Institutions.
• Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE, Delhi, shed light on Swami Vivekananda's profound ideas on education.
• Prof. V.K. Vijay, Professor, IIT Delhi & National Coordinator, UBA, highlighted recent initiatives and milestones of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
• Representatives of various schools, colleges, NITs and IITs put forward their best practices related to social work.

🌱 Centre for Extension and Field Outreach (OEA): Under the leadership of Prof. A.K. Srivastava, OEA plays a pivotal role in building an interdependent relationship between the university and the community. Through outreach and extension activities, the centre focuses on using technological knowledge and innovation to enhance social development and community empowerment.
🌈 Achievements: The day-long event showcased best practices related to social work, environment, and society by various educational institutions. Parallel sessions highlighted poster presentations and best practices by different institutes.
This conference marks a significant milestone in aligning educational institutions with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, emphasizing their pivotal role in creating transformative change and community development for nation-building. 🌟🤝🎓

NCC(J&K,Leh and Ladakh) visited DTU on 10.10.2023.

Center for Extension and Outreach, DTU organised a seminar on "Health Awareness and Motivational Talk" on 09.10.23 . The guest speaker Dr. Sanjay G. Shah , Chief Medical Officer SVNIT Health Center delivered an informative talk on meaning of Health, different aspects of health, different types of lifestyle diseases, ways to stay healthy , and motivated students by giving examples of great personalities who fought with disabilities in their life to come out as an inspiration to so many people around the world.
