EHS senior, Caroline Welker, is serving Texas FCCLA as the State Vice President of Programs for 2022-2023 year. This week she participated in the State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Leadership Activities. FCCLA State Officers teamed with FFA and 4-H State Officers to complete a community service project at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). State officers combined forces to pack personal hygiene kits for the homeless, and sorted over 35,000 pounds of food. Officers were excited to break the NTFB record. Caroline and other state officers also completed social media training through Texas Farm Bureau and created social media videos to promote Ag Awareness. Caroline was recognized at the State Fair of Texas Honor Awards Banquet.

Our FCCLA members attended the State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day on October 12th. Members started the day by taking part in an educational scavenger hunt across the fairgrounds. Students also participated in the canned food drive, visited the petting zoo, farm yard, and the livestock birthing room. Students were learning about agriculture while having fun at the fair. Our Cross Country team competed yesterday at the District meet in Dublin. We applaud their hard work and determination! Maddison Torrez (2nd) and Aaron Bass (8th) earned a spot to run at Regionals later this month. We are so proud of them!

Transcripts have been finalized for the spring 2021 semester. Students may come by the EHS office to request a copy of their transcript. Summer office hours are Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 3:00.

The senior girls dominated in football but the junior boys evened the score in volleyball! It was the perfect morning to laugh and have some fun during our Powder Puff football and volleyball games!
