I started my farm by accident.

I started by growing a few Microgreens on my window sill.

It was just a fun growing project to do with my kids….
or so I thought…

It quickly became more like therapy for me…
a quiet time to be with fresh living plants in between chaotic 12 hour shifts at the hospital.

I started with a love (a need really) to grow something…rather than a thought-out business plan.

It took years to slowly believe in myself enough to turn this into a profitable business.

6 years ago I trade the hospital 🏥for a greenhouse and disposable gloves for dirty fingernails and I’ve never been happier. Growing nutrient dense food was my path to purpose and I’m thankful everyday that I found a way I could farm while being home with my kiddos.

I used to think a homestead lifestyle was a really nice idea... but just not be very practical.

I was scared it might be a mistake…
leaving a secure career as a registered nurse.
I had this crazy dream of being a farmer. I’m thankful every day that I decided to take that leap.

It solidified an understanding in me that it’s never to late to start something new.

You are never starting from zero. All your life experiences you bring with you (no matter how unrelated they may seem) provide a solid place to jump from.

For me, farming is another chapter not a whole new book.
