Can anyone help? Lovely people I need your help.. this is Wilfredo and he is 5.. He lives in the Philippines with his family. Wilfredo is a special boy in the fact he was born with the same rare condition as my Ryan, however the pigment cells in his brain have caused Wilfredo to have severe learning disabilities, hydrocephalus and seizures. Due to covid 19 his dad has been left unable to work and so Cannot afford to buy Wilfredo his much needed nappies, and paedisure, a much needed formula for nutrition and growth. I am sending supplies to the phillipines and was wondering if anyone could help buy maybe a pack of nappies, wipes etc? ❤️❤️. Saldana CaRen Wilfredo Jr. ❤️❤️ inbox please x

Due to covid-19 both the Paralympic and Olympic swimming trials have been cancelled... feel so sorry for all the athletes that have worked day in and day out for this.. but it’s just a blip and the health and well-being of the swimmers is paramount... just means they’ll be hungrier to do well when they get the chance!!

Ryan is 16 and is a local boy who lives in Fleetwood. Ryan was born on 10th Dec 2003 after a healthy pregnancy. After a quick birth he was whisked away and I wasn’t allowed to see him straight away. When we were given the news that he had been born with a very rare skin disease( Congenital Melanocytic Naevus syndrome) that only affects 1 in 20,000 births we were in turmoil. What followed was numerous tests and operations and the news that he was at a higher risk of developing melanoma of the central nervous system. After multiple MRI scans we were told that Ryan also had lesions on his brain and that these would cause neurological problems. I Initially wanted to hide Ryan away, I couldn’t cope with nasty comments about how he looked different and as a young mum this was heartbreaking.. He was then diagnosed with ASD aged 5! When Ryan was 8 something changed, he was special and I knew I wanted to help him get the most out of life and so I took him swimming. He was always full of energy and loved to play with water at home. I Prepared myself for nasty comments about his skin but he took it all in his stride and learnt to swim. Fast forward to now.. he’s the para junior British champion in 100m back, 100m breast and 200m Individual medley. Last year he was selected onto the England para swimming talent programme and this year he has qualified to compete at the Paralympic trials in April. Ryans goal is to qualify for 2024 Paralympic Games.. He dedicates so much time and effort to be the best he can be, he swims 7 times a week and gets up at 4 am to train before school. On top of that he does land training and strength and conditioning. He attends great arley school where he is a role model for younger children, motivating them to try out swimming. Please get behind this local boy and share this page.. I’ll update regularly on his progress
