Let’s compare a popular Starbucks item to my homemade version of quick and easy Egg Bites! 🍳These are great for breakfast on the go or even an easy snack to fill you up during the day. You can make them in a cupcake pan like I did and then refrigerate or freeze the other ones to eat all week long. Remember it’s all about making better choices, and Egg Bites are definitely a better choice than most processed, fried, or sodium filled breakfast foods, but when you can it’s best to make them at home for a cleaner meal 🍽🍳🥚 ✅
Top with cheese and veggies of your choice. This is a great meal to clean out you fridge of leftover prepped veggies and cheese 🧀 & follow for more tips! 💪📲

Today is 🚶‍♀️! Research shows that even a short 11 minutes a day may lower your risk of diseases, help stabilize blood sugar, and help to keep you feeling good! ✅ Especially with the springtime weather here🌤, try to go outside for just that 11 minutes to !
11 minutes is the same time it takes to do the dishes, folding laundry, or even spending time spying on people on Instagram ⏰ 🧐🤣 You can even get your 11 minutes in by parking a little further away at work, taking the stairs, or walking around a store!

Have you been told you’re insulin resistant? A few people have reached out with similar questions so I wanted to talk about and what that means.
There are many possible causes for insulin resistance and many things that may increase your risk of developing insulin resistance. The good news is you can take steps to reverse it by being more active, reducing simple carbs and cutting calories (which will help with weight loss), getting regular quality sleep and reducing your stress levels😴. ✨🧘‍♀️ This week, I want to share some of my favorite White Bread Alternatives that can help with cutting calories, simple carbs, and sugar intake which may help you avoid a sugar spike.
1️⃣Egg Wraps: Trader Joe's makes their brand as well as Egg Life and many other store brands as well.
2️⃣Cauliflower Sandwich Thins: Whole Foods carries these, as well as Trader Joe's. The mini ones are great to use as a tortilla alternative for tacos🌮
3️⃣Ezekiel Bread & Wraps: A lot of major grocery stores carry Ezekiel bread and some like Whole Foods carry the wraps. This bread, unlike traditional white bread, is richer in fiber and nutrients.

🫑🍋🥗Do you feel like you don’t have enough time after working all day to cook dinner, let alone for it to be a nutritious meal? Well, then the One Pan Cooking Method may be for you! One Pan meals are a great way to ensure you’re eating a delicious and nutricious meal in a fraction of the time. I put all of the ingredients together when I get home, and while I unwind and settle in from the day, dinner is cooking. Toss some veggies and fish in a pan, drizzle in some Olive Oil and let the oven do it’s thing! It’s an easy way to save time and to get your veggie intake in! 📍 NP for more tips!

Make it your goal today to take one tiny step in the right direction. It doesn’t have to be a huge life altering step, but taking many small steps will get you to your goal. Be consistent in your daily routine and don’t be afraid to try something new that could help lead you to your long term goals. Here’s an example, instead of having just regular pasta for dinner, try Zoodles, or if that’s too much of a step, add a veggie to a smaller portion of pasta, or try protein pasta!🍝The possibilites are endless and you can find what works best for your goals! Happy Halloween! 🎃💀👻You don’t have to be afraid of candy!!! 🍭🍬🍫It is okay for you to have a piece of dark chocolate. Just be mindful. A few pieces in moderation won’t hurt, but the calories can add up quickly. Dark Chocolate is a healthy alternative for chocolate with a lot of loaded benefits like antioxidants.
📍TIP SAVER 📍
1️⃣Decide on a calorie allotment for the candy you want to have and stick to it.
2️⃣An easy way to do this is to portion out the halloween candy into smaller baggies and freeze so you won’t be tempted to eat it all in one sitting or more pieces then you planned.
3️⃣Give away the rest.

Don’t demonize pasta! 👹🍜🍝You can still enjoy pasta even when trying to reach your goals! Try Whole Wheat or Protein Pasta and keep your portions small. Remember, moderation is key! And there are pasta alternatives out there for you to try. We love zoodles!!!! We can eat it and not be concerned about simple carbs. There is no magic formula for weight loss, no matter what the programs and commercials tell you... Any "commercial" program you follow for 12 weeks or so will result in some degree of weight loss, but this is still part of the harmful stereotype that weight loss is something you can achieve by following a cookie cutter plan. Keeping weight off for the long time will require lifestyle changes and a very individualized plan created for you for this very complicated chronic relapsing disease and the best way to do that is to take small steps. It's all about consistency and making steps towards lifestyle changes. NP and follow for more tips!

Here are some reasons to include fruit in your everyday routine.
-A source of fiber and prebiotics.
-Good for a healthy Microbiome.
-Source of Vitamin C.

Three servings of fruit and veggies a day May reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. My most recommended fruits are papaya, pineapple and mango. Since these have enzymatic proteins which reduce inflammation in the body. Not recommended for Diabetics for everyday consumption!

Trying to eat healthy can be challenging. We are faced with so many choices - many of them unhealthy. I went to Lidl US to find something to jazz up my salad and look what I found! Fresh fruit, items with simple ingredients and low in sodium. While fermented foods are great for your gut pickled foods also add some health benefit. Great stuff to add to your everyday! Is Dunkin your go to coffee spot? This is a healthy drink to order from Dunkin that will keep you on track, but still give you that morning boost! Keep it simple and keep your morning calorie intake low to start your day. Don't go for all the presweetened drinks that may be lower in calories, but high in sugars that will send your Blood Sugar up! Follow for more healthy tips! NP

Let's talk about inflammation! There has been some evidence, that certain foods and a poor diet can cause inflammation in the body which may lead to disease. Chronic Inflammation is implicated in Cardiovascular Disease. These effects can be reduced or maybe even reversed in some cases by anti-inflammatory foods. The Mediterreanean Diet consists of many foods that may help to reduce inflammation.*emoji* Tumeric, Black Pepper, Garlic, Onios Pumpkin, Fatty Fish, Chia, Sesame and Flax Seeds, Green Tea, Avocado, Pineapple, Mango and Greek Yogurt. These foods contain lactovacillus!
