Good morning, today is a big day for Sweetwater County. Today is Primary Election Day. And the majority of our local offices will be decided today.

My race - Sweetwater County Clerk, County Assessor, Clerk of District Court, and the County Commissioners, will all be decided by voters today.

Then we also have 2 Republicans for Sheriff and 3 Republicans for Treasurer. These 2 races will move on to the General Election.

Your vote is your voice! Get your voice heard.

Be sure to take your Id’s to the polls. You will not be able to vote without it.

I think I read there are over 70 candidates and there are food trucks!!!!

You will have one more opportunity to meet many of the candidates for Tuesday’s Primary Election.

Tonight, 6pm at the Broadway Theatre is our Clerk’s Office debate. It will also be streamed on Wyo4 News.

Next week we have our forums on the 8-10th, and another meet and greet on the 11th.

Then the big day on August 16, 2022!🤩

Tomorrow morning will be our 3rd and final parade of the summer. The Red Desert Roundup Rodeo Parade will begin at 10am in Rock Springs.

I can’t wait to see you all along the parade route.🤩

Anita is one of a kind. She is honest, knowledgeable and most of all caring to everyone.

I have known Anita for over 21 years personally and also professionally. She is the same human today that she was 21 years ago. She has proven her strengths to be the new Sweetwater County Clerk. You will not see her saying negative things about anyone. This is a true asset to a political office.

I have worked in the County Clerk’s Office for the last 21 years. I have a working knowledge of the office and it’s incredible employees.

When needed, I will be able to help the employees serve the public in an efficient and timely manner.

I have been hands on, in working closely with the other Elected Officials and Department Heads. And I will continue to do so, in seeking more effective ways to serve the public.
