Well R***r saved me a hospital trip maybe even my life. He has never bitten me beside playing but today while walking the lake as we always do he became pretty aggressive nipping at me then wrapped my leg and his dew claws really dig in I turned to scold him and he ran around me like trying to avoid me.
I turned to grab him and found him confronting a copperhead backed against a log, fighting to protect me until I fetched a stick to assist. Tears nearly filled my eyes as I realized he risked his life to save me. I sat down with him, embracing him tightly. Without a doubt, he's my guardian. The title of the best dog ever unquestionably belongs to him. Rather have this cut that the bite from that copperhead any day.
Thankful for my best friend.

Crying is a healing process. The purpose of crying is to release. We somehow sometimes forget it's a natural, and absolutely fine to cry.
Back in March of 2024, I was met by the doors of heaven. I got real sick with Covid and having underlying issues with Lyme, it was a doozy!! It's a real learning when you're hanging in between worlds between life and death. What was a task or a problem before is no longer. One's focus is getting better with the help and support of those who love you. I am grateful for that. I have had family and friends showing up in ways I never expected them too and for that I am grateful! I am slowly getting back my strength so you will begin to see more postings!!
The learning is that the darkness becomes your ally and friend, once you embrace it you begin to see the light. Our world of duality is sometimes about meeting head on what we fear the most. In my case was looking at death in the face.
I love life, and gave it my all! After all, I believe we have choices in making this experience pleasant, and as an optimist, I see all the beauty I still want to experience!
This opportunity taught me that it is the ego who fears so much but that I am spirit. My spirit will never die. You can't destroy energy, it transforms. And I have had a major transformation! For every step of growth there is an up level.
Catastrophic thinking can keep you in anxiety. Projecting the worst case scenario can be a mechanism of safety. However, those thoughts are not always true. Situations don't always present themselves in black and white. There are shades of grey, options.
It's always a good time to visit your coping mechanisms these were created by your mind to keep you safe. Have they been updated to support where you currently are?
It's important to accept the parts of us that represent our mom and dad within us. Otherwise, we won't come to have that Internal peace. As adults we can give ourselves the acceptance that their behavior prevented us from receiving when we were our little selves.
You may have developed a pattern of escaping to keep yourself safe but that conditioning may now be obsolete. Develop a new behavior to thrive. If you don't know where to begin, begin by modeling someone that does.
If you are enduring internal turmoil and conflict, check in with yourself. It may be of your own making - a blind spot.
At some point we can let each other down in relationships, and that is ok. What's important is bouncing back from those moments.
Just because mom and dad did not take care of you well when you were young, doesn't mean you have to feel unsafe anymore. As an adult, now, you can provide that safety for yourself.
The greatest gift your parents have given you is the gift of life, without judging how they raised you.
Self righteousness, believing that your ideas and behavior are morally better than those of other people.
In reality, it's the correct thing from one perspective only.
Remember no one has to do anything for you as an adult, and if they do - Appreciate it!

Being responsible and accountable doesn't mean we have to do it alone. The human species is a social one. We can get help and assistance from a valid source. We don't have to go it alone.
Practice what I preach. Being in integrity, where my words and actions are aligned. Self care time at the beach.
Encouraging someone to love and be themselves is the best way to love them!
From Lyme Disease to Compassion
My story from Lyme disease to Compassion. Back in 2015, I became very sick. I was in the beginning of a separation, had lost my job due to the illness and became bed ridden. I spent all my life savings on treating Lyme disease. However, I thank my transformation of growth to this phase of my life. I came through a whole new and improved person reclaiming myself, a deeper trust in my spirituality and a higher improvement in my quality of life. In the process; I promised the heavens that if I got through that period in my life, I would dedicate myself in some capacity to serve. Neurolinguistics Programming has been a huge tool in my transformation so much so I decided to utilize it in the hopes of helping others and became a Transformational Life Coach. One of the many things I like about becoming a NLP Life Coach is the benefits I have reaped. I experienced first hand many of the processes that helped me collapse belief systems that no longer serve, and learned how to sculpt new and improved belief systems and strategies that are constantly changing and evolving. I became aware of many of my blind spots. Many times we go about unaware of our patterns in how they affect us, and impact others. I learned so much along the way including to walk in authenticity and in my truth. Most importantly, in the spectrum of all things, this journey of life is short, and we should make it worthwhile. I learned not to sweat the small things, and to be present in life here and now.
