Wanted to take a minute to talk about all the upcoming events we're all planning on going to! We know just how scary it can be to have the thoughts of "what if there's protestors or proud boys showing up at our events? Will they try to harm us? Or spend the entire time there yelling hate filled crap at us?"
There's a lot of places that have acquired extra security for these events. Seq***rity is completely booked every weekend with 4 to 5 events each weekend. Because venues are trying to safer than ever before.
Here's some tips that you can do to help keep yourself and loved ones proactive in staying safe:
1) Never go anywhere alone. Go in groups, at min, at least go in pairs. And stick close by. Even if you finally found the love of your life, stay with a few trusted friends.
2)Keep your drinks in your hands, or in the hands of a trusted friend. Don't sit the drink down and go to the bathroom, or dancing and then come back for it. If you plan on going outside and can't bring your drink, finish it or dump it. Don't come back for it.
3) get your rides set up in advance. Don't wait for the last minute where you might be stuck sitting outside for 45 mins after bar close.
4)If you're going into a venue that is doing bag checks or body searches, please be patient and understand that it's for the protection of everyone.
5)If you're planning on partying/drinking, don't carry a firearm. It's illegal to carry with just a .04 BAC. Not to mention, it's more dangerous to try and use a firearm in a crowded area. You're more likely to hurt someone that's innocent.
6) Stay aware!! If you see something that doesn't look right, or you get an uneasy feeling, say something. Please. It's better to be safe and wrong, than silent and right.
7)If you do end up splitting up with friends, make sure someone knows where you're going and if it's with new people, have your friends call and check in on you. It may make you feel like a pr***en again, but we all want to see you as an elder one day.
8)Carry narcan and have resource numbers like COPE or REP programmed into your phone.

These are some simple tips that are easy to do to help ensure you and everyone else has a safe Pride month.

I know it's a little scary, and it's ok to feel fear. The trick is to not give in to the fear. Everyone single one of us are worthy, invaluable, priceless, and perfect just the way we are. We all deserve to live in a world where we're safe and protected. Where we don't have to hide or run.

Hey Fam! Seq***rity LLC is gearing up for the spring/summer/fall events. We are looking for more folks that are interested in being a part of creating safer spaces for everyone. This is a part time gig to start, with the possibility of more.
Training in de-escalation and situational awareness will be provided. Seq***rity is proud that we use de-escalation as a preventive/proactive tool.

We're also gonna do something a bit new. If you've no interest in getting a permit, but want the knowledge, you're welcome in these classes also! $50 for just the online class!!

We had a fantastic NYE at Can Can Wonderland ringing it in at their futurist steampunk event and at The Hook and Ladder Theater & Lounge for their celebratory concert sets. Many thanks for having us out!

A little info and update for those that don't know: our founder was diagnosed with uterine cancer last fall and had surgery in December. She's been taking some time off to recover and see some family (which if you know her, you know time off is a very, very hard request for her to fulfill!). Happy to share with you all that she's recovering well! She's ready to get back to work so this month we're easing back into things with permit to carry courses.

Normally, we host our courses on Sunday afternoons but this month since she's still taking some time away from her day job we've decided to offer some different options. We've had requests for this in the past so we're hoping this provides the opportunity for those who are unable to attend the Sunday classes. We are happy to accommodate in any way we can so please reach out to us if you have questions, concerns or specific accommodation requests.

The first component of the class is done virtually through Google Meets and we will schedule an individual time to meet at the range for qualification testing and/or in-person training to complete the course. Please email us at Seq***[email protected] for pricing or to sign up for a course.

Our lives have changed. Every one of us needs to keep that in mind as we go about our daily lives. Some of us have decided on gaining new skills or dusting off old ones.
Seq***rity provides training, expertise, support, and knowledge to help with gaining or regaining some of these skills.
We provide MN PTC classes for those looking to know more about fi****ms or want to get a carry permit, we also provide personal follow up training if you want to go further than just basic knowledge.
We provide Situational Awareness and De-escalation courses to businesses and individuals.
We're also available for events/festivals/private events.
Keep us in mind if you or your company should be looking for security that's more focused on training YOU to be safer, smarter, more skilled without losing your compassion for humanity.

Hi Everybody!! It's been a minute, we've been crazy busy with a lot of festivals and events around the city. Thank you to everyone for spreading the word about us!!
With most of the summer behind us now, we'll be starting up the MN PTC classes again.
We'll be offering the classes every other Sunday starting Sept 11th.
Classes will be noon to 4pm with live fire scheduled at the end of class. All classes are online. For now.

I'm a military brat. When I was in 2nd grade I came home to mom telling us that we'd be moving soon. There was a crab apple tree out front that I loved climbing. So I picked as many apples as I could n put them in a drawer in my room so I could bring them with. We didn't move for 2 months. Moral of the story.... it might stink, but it's always worth it to be prepared.

I'm training guns and safety this week to a buddy whose family's home has been a target lately. They're scared and don't want to be a victim. We also did a training with a group that unfortunately had a rough incident with someone that may have been suffering from a mental crisis and made the decision that they wanted their people to have as many tools available to de-escalate and be pro-active while still providing safety to all. I met an in*******al couple with a really cute baby in the ammo aisle, talking about what's the best bullets to use living in an apartment. I met an older Black man that had decided to get a gun again after he wasn't sure how many years ago he last went shooting. I got him to join a group of other POC's that can share time and knowledge to teach him and be there for him. I've spent the last 5 days reading anything I find about Ukraine, and while I won't share my endless thoughts on that one, do know that I'm in awe of the Ukrainian people and I think "Go f$%k yourself" should become an international hashtag.
This is the world we're living in. There's a lot of pain out there. Violence, crime, hatred, blah, blah, blah.
There's also a lot of community that have come together to support one another. To look out for one another. Because that's what good communities do.
Being able to provide firearm safety and training is a service that we're proud to provide the communities. From beginners to pros, you'll walk away with the skill and knowledge to get to where you want to be safely and responsibly.
