Goodbye summer, hello fall! We enjoyed traveling to gospel meetings to personally thank the lovely people who prayed for Rhett and sent cards and gifts. Thank you from our hearts!

Whew! What a relief to have the port out and close the chapter on cancer.
We are beyond blessed and deeply grateful that Rhett is in remission. No more needles🎈

We thought this smile was for the last port access, but then he became ill with Adenovirus. He returned to Children’s for another port access to rule out a port infection. This pesky virus pushed his port removal surgery out 6 weeks. He’s been a sick little guy🥲. Thankfully his numbers are still improving and other than the virus Rhett Wilder is doing well in remission.
We are loving this new tradition we saw of painting the resurrection story on our front door. We bought some washable paint and even made some. The kids were engaged in the resurrection story as we painted.
We are thanking God that Rhett is energetic and feeling great to participate, a huge improvement as he was terribly ill this time last year.
Rhett Wilder went on a solo adventure last Sunday during the hustle of getting our family ready for church and potluck.
He was out the door and out of sight before any of us noticed.
Our dear friends and neighbors left church to help us search.
An agonizing hour passed when our neighbor found him throwing rocks at the trickle of water in the ditch in her yard.
We are FOREVER thankful this adventure ended happily with embracing our son alive. We have a beautiful, but dangerous property for an adventurous little guy who knows no danger. This world can not contain the gratitude for the host of friends who helped us search our 20 acres and our neighbor’s land. Thank you all for saving his life.
We’ve doubled down on our security measures for Rhett and we’d love more suggestions to keep our adventure man safe.

A new Jubilee adventure….
Blessed, excited, overwhelmed, grateful, humbled, honored….
Words are not enough to tell you how thankful and honored we are that Rhett was chosen as the beneficiary for this incredible event so many loving and kind people diligently orchestrated.
Our God has supplied all our needs and more in the battle over leukemia. Your donations , cards, gifts, prayers, meals, texts, calls and kind words are like Aaron and Hur’s hands helping Moses keep his fatigued arms in the air so Joshua could claim victory in God over the Amalekites.
Every time we nearly collapsed into weariness your kindness and love gave us the strength to endure. We say thank you with every fiber of our being.

There goes my baby…
Rhett Wilder transported to Little Rock Pediatric Intensive Care Unit via Angel One because his heart rate increased and his fever refused to reduce. It all seems more scary when the helicopter gets involved. Children’s NW simply doesn’t have a PICU or oncology unit, at this time, so we determined he would receive the best care with more resources and more access to equipment and labs in LR. His ANC and platelets have tanked so he needs some platelets, but overall he is doing ok.
I had to drive separately so I could have a vehicle in Little Rock. Rhett wouldn’t let go of my hand 💔and I tell you they may as well have ripped out my heart and took it with him. I couldn’t get there fast enough. By the time I arrived he had made several new buddies who were gushing over his cuteness. What a sweet welcome from the PICU team for this tired and stressed mama.

The hospital angels gave him the sweetest party with cupcakes and fun gifts. Plus a big bag of toys for Christmas! Thank you to the nurses, doctors, staff, and volunteers. ❤️

🌿🍂❄️ Watching the seasons change from this hospital window wasn’t the adventure we had in mind, but we are thankful for all the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who love on Rhett and create joy and fun during this sad time.
🦃 We are thankful we don’t have to spend Thanksgiving week in the hospital. We are only here for labs and infusion today.
❤️We sincerely thank everyone for the continued prayers, encouraging words, and all the acts of kindness. You are the most important part of this journey.

Friends make everything better!
🏡Rhett is home now! In the video he is playing at the rooftop playground before we left.
His smile when we got home was priceless! 😃
One more treatment and we are praying he will stay in remission so we can get busy living and going on adventures.

Everyday… he cleans everyday.
He’s so cute. We wish we could record all the cuteness, special moments and giggles, but it’s also nice to put the phone down and be in the moment. We are loving all this one on one time.

Rhett Wilder enjoys beautiful fall days. There’s a lovely rooftop park outside his hospital window that we can use to enjoy sunshine and fresh air.
The playground made us excited for the outdoor play set that Roc Solid Foundation is gifting Rhett.
Again and again we are humbled by the kindness of others who are trying to make sunshine for us in this hard season.

He is feeling great and using all his energy to clean the oncology unit.
