Georgia Trout Unlimited
Our goal is cold, clean, fishable water. Georgia Trout Unlimited has over 4,000 members in 13 chapters throughout the state.
On this day in 1959, Art Neuman & George Griffith, along with 14 other anglers, created Trout Unlimited along the banks of the Au Sable River near Grayling, Michigan. Today, that organization has over 350,000 members & is the leader in cold-water conservation in North America! Here in Georgia, we have twelve chapters (soon to be 13) and around 4,000 members. May the next 65 years be as fruitful as the last 🐟

This is the results of people off-roading without any understanding of the consequences. This is Flatland Road or USFS 256 in Union County near Suches, Ga.
These trails/roads cross Barrett and Suches Creeks which are secondary Brook trout streams. The silt and destruction of the road ends up in the streams which is very harmful to our native trout. Thanks to TU and the USFS for identifying the problem and gating the area off to vehicle traffic. Stay vigilant and say something when you see something wrong
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
