We have the sweetest guests at The Compass in Stephenville. This review made me smile.
I’m new to the Airbnb scene but out of the three I’ve been to, this one exceeded my expectations. Compass north was charming, comfortable and convenient. We felt very safe and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a very great experience ! JM

The Compass has fun news! According to Airbnb, we have been selected as one of the 310 "Most Hospitable" Airbnb stays in the U.S.! We didn't win #1 in Texas but we are so excited and surprised to be among the top in the nation! So a great big THANK YOU to all of our past guests who left us 5 star reviews! We are so grateful!! Our guests ROCK!!!
Guess what!? The Compass is now accepting reservations for the Holidays!! We book 6 months out at a time, so that means Christmas is in......6 months!!! Yikes!! You will be needing extra room for all you friends and family so let The Compass North, The Compass South, or The Compass-Entire house be your "home away from home". Book before someone beats you to it.

The Compass was happy host Matthew Schuler, a contestant on season 5 of The Voice. He was in town for a concert at TSU. Such a great guy with a contagious smile!!

Having to travel to Stephenville frequently for business, this is by far my favorite place to stay. That being said, I'm tempted to give horrible reviews so nobody else will use the space because I hate it when it's booked and I have to stay elsewhere :) . This space is so legit, it was actually hard to comprehend how pleased I was... Literally said aloud to myself numerous times: This place is perfect. I am so thankful I found it, even for only the night; totally would have done many more. I arrived in the dark, but the keypad entry worked like a charm. Upon walking in, you immediately know you’re in a special place. Some rentals go overboard with the kitsch (or do nothing at all...); however, Shellie and Scott have done it right. So many wonderful touches throughout - including personalized touches that truly made me smile. After the living room, you enter a large hallway doubles as the perfect kitchenette with amenities that’ll blow you away. The bathroom was immaculate and very well done. And that shower head... often overlooked, but not here! Perhaps the best of all: the fantastic bedroom. I should have pulled up the sheet to see who made the bed — it was that good! Super quiet and extremely relaxing. When I left, I saw how wonderful the space is on the outside and wished I had more time to spend there. S&S are making magic happen at the Compass. Absolutely recommended // I’ll be very glad to return on my next layover in Stephenville.

The Compass South
The Compass South is your vintage stay in Stephenville, TX. We are just blocks from Tarleton State and the Downtown Square, and just minutes away from the Lone Star Arena, Down Under Horsemanship Ranch, The N at Hardway Ranch and Dove Creek Ranch.
This newly remodeled 1940’s house if full of vintage travel charm including the original hardwood floors, glass door k***s, antique trunks from WWII and old family postcards dating back to the 1930’s. However, the comfort level is up to date! The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and the living room has a futon that folds out to sleep 2. The bathroom is newly tiled and spacious. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot to get you ready for the day or to take care of your left overs. The central heat and air will either help you keep your cool or keep you cozy. For your protection, there is on site parking and a keypad on the door so each guest has their own unique entry code.
If you need to stay for the night and even a couple of weeks, The Compass South is a peaceful, stylish place to be. We know you will love it!
