- As shown by this article, challenges in life do not stop us from achieving our goals. The fact that we are determined to accomplish something we love is not a barrier to achieving it. Like Chuck Close, he uses his disability as inspiration to become a well-known and a great artist.
APPLICATION:
Write a short biography of an artist whom you know but is not yet establsihed in the art scene.
Mervin Branzuela (born 28 December 1907) is a not known artist with a modern visual arts. His works with oil and encaustic on canvas have been described as "late capitalist masterpieces marred by illogical marks, haze, and aggregations of reality that not only displaces portraiture as the totemic symbols of power and status but questions the formation of identity itself as the trap where a man cannot go forward"
Mervin was awarded in school as a Best artist in 2014 when we we’re in high school. He pursue his dream after we graduated in high school and studied in University of Mindanao get a course of fine arts and fulfill his dreams to become a successful artist . Suddenly Mervin has denied that economic success informs his paintings, and states that his works are instead antagonistic to the dictatorship and reification of the market. His projects seek a re-evaluation of some of the most fundamental positions that art has assumed in the past. But Mervin didn’t stop and make a canvas. Mervin said that these spaces seem to be about his identity as well. Art cohabits a relation with spaces, and people as well, including teachers and friends who have allowed him to evolve, and share the life he has lived with them. He talks about his art as a matter of ideas that come from these everyday encounters with the world. And at this point, it is this art that seems to define him as a person who relates to his surroundings as well. Mervin finds inspiration in anything and everything-a candy wrapper, a moment, debris. He takes much from the past and speaks of it in the present, where nostalgia doesn’t necessarily mean memory as it does an assertion of what remains relevant and real across time. Mervin begins with ideas and challenges himself to transform them into a visual form-the only one he feels is powerful enough to carry his message. The materials to use, and the ways in which they will be utilized, are all part of the concept. They enjoin together after the decision is made that an idea is worth its value in paint and hard work. And then mervin apparently, flies with it. The challenge to him has been the creation of something powerful and interesting. This beauty can represent the kind of life he sees and loves and knows. Mervin finds solace in the urban spaces he occupies and imagines this space as distinctly pregnant with meaning and ideas and visual possibilities. It’s an interesting view of the contemporary fast-paced city life that we all are part of. At most, it is a powerful rendering of the lives we live by someone who now knows the identity and the owning of his spaces.

- Conflict is an inevitable part of close relationships and can take a negative emotional toll. It takes effort to ignore someone or be passive-aggressive, and the anger or guilt we may feel after blowing up at someone are valid negative feelings. However, conflict isn’t always negative or unproductive. In fact, numerous research studies have shown that the quantity of conflict in a relationship is not as important as how the conflict is handled. Improving your competence in dealing with conflict can yield positive effects in the real world. Since conflict is present in our personal and professional lives, the ability to manage conflict and negotiate desirable outcomes can help us be more successful. In professional settings, the ability to engage in conflict management, sometimes called conflict resolution, is a necessary and valued skill. However, many professionals do not receive training in conflict management even though they are expected to do it as part of their job
