This poppy seed challah came out so pretty!

Mandelbroit... It's Yiddish for "almond bread" and is the Jewish version of biscotti. My recipe comes from my Great Aunt Alice and is the one I grew up eating.

Can't do almonds? No problem! Let me know and I'll make Mandeless-broit just for you.

20 pieces for $15.

In between getting ready for my daughter’s birthday party today and the general end of summer chaos, I managed to squeeze in an order for one of our party guests. Challah and chocolate orange babka. Yum.

Four pretty babkas, all cooling down to be packaged up. Let me make one for you!

We just got back from a lovely family trip up north. The kids used the Sleeping Bear sand dunes to perfect their challah braiding skills, as one does. Now we're back and I'd love to make something special for you! I promise it won't have sand in it.

Sweet noodle kugel, no almonds and no raisins. One has a home, the other one is lonely. $15

I've been candying orange peels, that must mean tomorrow is a babka day! Let me know if I can bake a loaf of chocolate babka for you.

14/06/2024

My lemon cookies have lemon in three forms - zest, juice, and extract. I'm toying with the idea of incorporating candied lemon peels, because how good does that sound??

They are light and airy with a perfect amount of crunch.

Did I mention that I love lemon desserts?

$10 for a dozen.

I have a windfall of fresh, local eggs. They make everything better.

Mazel Tov to the Bat Mitzvah girl this week! Challahs, cinnamon babkas, lemon cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and brownies - yum!

Want something that's not on my menu? Let me know and chances are I can do it for you!

Happy Passover to all who celebrate! We'll see you on the other side.

I have a sad and lonely fresh out of the oven plain challah ($10) and chocolate-orange babka ($20) that would love a home this evening 🙂

Update: babka is claimed, but the challah is up for grabs.

Everything bagel challah. Yum.

My kitchen. smells. amazing.

(Psst... those two babkas in the very back are a new flavor offering- cinnamon!!)

Just another Wednesday morning! No matter what happens next, today is a productive day.

Purim is March 23rd. Get your orders in for hamantaschen soon!

In our house it’s not potato kugel, it’s happy kugel. And when you’re three years old, it’s always on the menu and worth pausing a tea party to help make.

31/12/2023

What makes my onion rolls so magical? There are three types of onions in the dough - dried minced onions, yellow onions, and scallions. It makes for an amazing, flavorful roll.

29/12/2023

Did you know that challah freezes really well? I only bake for my family about once a month and we pull them out of the freezer. My kids are excited that this month's baking falls on winter break and they can help. Let me know if I can add a loaf for you!

27/12/2023

Planning a New Year's Day brunch? I can help with that!

Babka is a special treat bound to start your year off on the right foot! Or how about French toast made with a fresh loaf of challah? Russian tea biscuits would be delightful with a cup of coffee. You can't go wrong with a sweet noodle kugel either...

(If you ask nicely, I would make you a batch of fresh cinnamon rolls too...)

24/12/2023

Prepping babka filling for tomorrow. The house is going to smell amazing!

15/09/2023

Somehow it all got done today. Shana Tova to all that are celebrating!

09/09/2023

Rolling through the day. My six year old refuses sandwiches in her school lunches, but will happily eat challah rolls.

08/09/2023

Raisin challah, special for Rosh Hashanah. I can squeeze in a few more orders for Thursday pickup, but you'll have to get in touch with me soon!

If you are going to the event at Shaarey Zedek on Sunday, make sure to take a rugelach or two! (And say hello to my mom while you’re at it, she just moved to East Lansing with my dad!)

20/08/2023

Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) starts September 15th. Don't forget to order a round challah for your table!

16/08/2023

Rugelach, yum!
