Every child at Tshiseluselu primary school from 1st grade to the seventh received a bracelet and they were beyond appreciative🙏🏽

Thank you again Ms. Adrienne Wright the children in South Africa have received the books you donated to Touch the Sky and are now reading about their very own Hector Pieterson as well as Emmett Till.

These Children live in Khubui village located in Limpopo South Africa and they attend Tshiseluselu primary school. The headmaster of the school whom you can see standing proud in the video said the children prepared this song and dance to greet Touch the Sky when we were to arrive last year so when I arrived they performed it for me.

Since 2007, South Africa has experienced multiple periods of loadshedding, during these periods the power is rationed which leaves families in the dark sometimes hours at a time. Touch the Sky raised money to buy a few hundred flash lights with batteries.

On Feb. 1, 1960, four African-American North Carolina A&T University students began a sit-in protest at a Woolworth’s whites-only lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina, where they had been refused service. Our youth from Touch the Sky while visiting the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta had the unique opportunity to sit at a model lunch counter and participate in an interactive, simulated sit-in experience.
Parents if you hear any kids from this generation saying that they are not that ancestors please agree with them and tell them they could NEVER!

Unfortunately Touch the Sky has not YET raised all of the money needed to take our youth to South Africa. I felt the need to do something for the children before they returned to school to keep them encouraged that their highly anticipated trip to South Africa is still taking place. I drove the children to Atlanta and our itinerary started today at the Civil rights museum.
Stay tuned for our back to school blast!
