Finished the walnut stools! Here is the walnut (left) and maple (right) side by side. Which one do you prefer??
Frame for a new walnut stool is looking pretty nice!
Put off doing work on some upcoming dressers because I got hungry for pizza and had to make a peel!
Very excited to be sending out this special order. All of these were made with wood from this customer’s grandpa’s land. We had the raw wood shipped to the shop and turned them in to these pieces here!
Woven stool all finished up! Maple frame with a Danish cord woven seat. Double rails allow for the weaving to be done with no nails that are normally used to change direction of the cord. Check this out on our Etsy along with our other items! Link in bio.
Custom stackable chess board all finished up! Made with Padauk and Maple with 2” squares. Check out our other boards on our Etsy! Link in About page.
First attempt at a rocking chair went pretty well! This was made with all wood-to-wood joints at every single join. So excited to see the new parents rocking their baby. Hopefully it helps bring some calm to the craziness of a newborn!
A couple photos of the progress for the rocking chair. Check out the “Rocking Chair” highlight on our page for more! It’s coming along!
New wood combo with our gradient boards! Cherry and maple combination is now available on our Etsy. Check them out!
Working on the rough draft for an upcoming rocking chair project. Stay tuned!
Another Purple Heart, Maple and Hickory board heading out the door!
Purple Heart wood turns purple from exposure to air. After milling and sanding took away the outside purple surface the inner layers needed to go through that exposure to turn purple again. Here we apply heat to speed the process up so we can get this beautiful new chess board shipped to its new home! Find this and more on our Etsy shop KulurisWoodworking (link in About page)
All finished with this set of nightstands! Full wood joinery with some fun little touches like the handmade walnut drawer k***s to match with the rest of the piece. More furniture to come!
Dry test fit of the apron, shelf and drawer slides. All wood to wood joinery and wood hardware like the drawer slides seem here. Getting close!
Laying out some drawer fronts that are cut out of the apron for a new set of night stands. Stay tuned for the rest of the build!
Loving this ambrosia maple slice and walnut accent in this bench! First use of these bow ties in a piece and they turned out pretty great! Bow ties help keep cracks from growing over time as wood will expand and contract with the seasons.
This bench is already spoken for, but contact us if you are interested in custom ordering furniture and we would love to work with you! We ship anywhere in the U.S.!
A couple new sets of red cedar coasters available on our Etsy!
Tried a new chess board combination by using the Purple Heart as the border along with the Maple and Purple Heart squares. Available now on our Etsy along with our other chess boards and more! Check it out with the link in our About page!
Thanks to everyone for all of the support this year! We had a great time at our last market for 2021 and can’t wait for bringing out more creations. Stay tuned for coffee tables, nightstands and more in 2022!
A crazy couple of weeks trying to get some new items ready for our last market of the year! Hazel provided plenty of much needed shop dog support during endless hours of sanding. We’ll see you tonight at the Railyard for Vital Spaces winter market!
A few new woven boards are ready for the market tomorrow. Come check them out and all of our new products. We’ll see you there at the Railyard at 5pm!
We have a few of our stackable chess boards available with wenge wood! This very dark wood gives an even deeper contrast between the squares and we love it! You can see the difference between our walnut boards in the pictures. Come see them this Friday at the Railyard from 5-9pm
Finished a few charcuterie boards that will be available this Friday in Santa Fe. Come out to see these and more from a variety of vendors!
Hey AZ folks! We will be in Flagstaff this weekend for the FALA Winter Art Market. Come support FALA and see some work by both student and outside artisan vendors. We hope to see you there for some holiday shopping or just to say hello!
New table top finished for this patio set. Knocked out an old concrete top and reused the frame to give this set new life!
