With sadden hearts I want to let everyone know that we have lost one of biggest fans and supporters of our racing team. She wasn’t just a fan but she was also family. I would like to ask everyone to pray with us for the peace and comfort for Jr Berry and his family through these hard times.

Christal you will deeply missed by the whole racing team and town of Stilwell. I want to thank you for all the years of service you put in as a police officer for Stilwell city and for Adair county sheriffs department. Thank you for all your love and support to our racing team.

Now to introduce the last member of the team. My name is Jess Sims , I am also a fireman from Stilwell Ok and have been a volunteer for the Stilwell fire department for 3 years now. Being able to help the ones in need has been an absolute pleasure to me. Not every wreck or fire that I have been on has been the easiest to over come but I know without the firemen or police officers that serve the communities they do it would be a lot more difficult to live at ease. I want to say thank you to all the men and women that serve our communities as police or fire for their dedication not only the police and firemen but the men and women serving our country in the military THANK YOU AND MY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

Car # and how you came up with the number: My number is 53s. How I came up with my number is kinda funny. Eddie Martin is #51, Hank Long is #52, all of us from the great town of Stilwell I wanted to fall in line with the top drivers in the area so I choose 53 the S comes from my last name.

How long you been racing: I started racing when I was 14 years young. This year 2022 makes 18 years. Now I know sometimes I look like I just started this year lol but I’m still learning with every weekend we hit the track.

Who’s your racing hero/hero’s: who my hero you ask me. First off I got to start with my dad, he has been by my side just about every weekend I’ve been. I can’t give him enough thanks. Watching him race when I was a kid my dream was to be just like dad. Now on to my next one. The late John Stand has alway been a hero of mine and will always be one. Watching him race thinking to myself how does he see over the steering wheel and how I’m the world does he do that in flip flops and be so fast. Setting at the shop talking racing with John was so fun to me. Another hero of mine is Jackie Bob Martin. I remember when I just started racing he told me that the front bumper was there to let the guy in front of you know you behind him. I remember as a kid going down to his shop and him getting me need a head lock and poking me in the side asking me how many girl friends I got. I got to race with Jackie Bob one time and I’ll remember that race.

What’s one goal in racing that you want to accomplish this year: My goal for this year is to finish in the top 3 and to learn as much as I can.

Another one of our drivers for the Guns N Hoses Racing team is Nick Hardbarger aka Cheeseburger. He is a volunteer fireman for the Hwy 51west fire department here in Stilwell Ok and has served for 5 years. I want to say thank you cheese for you protection and service of the community.

Car # and how you came up with the number: 5 because there is 5 in my little family

How long you been racing: I’ve been around racing all my life but driving for 5 year

Who’s your racing hero/hero’s: My hero is probably my grandpa Hardbarger and my dad their the ones that put it in my blood but the best times at the track was helping my best friend (my brother) Jess Sims not really only at the track but all the nights at the shop a lot of fun nights

What’s one goal in racing that you want to accomplish this year: My goal this year is to finish every race and ultimate goal is finish in the top 4

I wanna take the time to introduce our crew chief and biggest supporter. Most of everyone knows him as Kenny Sims, but we all call him dad. We can’t thank him enough for all that he has done to help us. He is the backbone of this team.

Next is Jr Berry, he is another police office that has been serving and protecting the community for 9 years now. I want to say thank you for you service and protection. Jr has been learning something everytime he hits the track. Glad to have him as part of the team.

Who is your racing hero or hero’s. I’ve only watched one person my whole life race , been to many races with him and his family ! That’s Jessifer Sims and Kenny Sims

Newest driver on the team and doing a great job. Also one of the police officers on the team. Been protecting and serving the community for 12 years now. Thank you Derrick Grant for your service and protection.

What’s one goal in racing that you want to accomplish this year: Get more comfortable behind the wheel and actually compete

Our team is made up by 4 drivers with a dream or racing. The team name of GUNS N HOSES came from 2 of us are police officers and 2 are firemen. Some know who we are, some don’t. I will be making a post about each driver letting you know who they are,what they drive and a little bit about them and their racing for the team.

Well here they are 4 cars one team one look. Welcome to the GUNS-N-HOSES racing team page. We are
excited to get this year started. We currently have 3 of 4 cars done and hope to have the 4th one complete by next weekend where we will starting the year off at Crawford county speedway. We have so many people to Thank this year. We will do our best to support and honor the people and business that has helped us our this year. Having a team has been a dream of mine and now I got 3 of my best friends all on the same team.
